Here is the wiring diagram for that model. Black(hot) wire to empty side of thermostat, red(indicator lamp) wire is doubled to the wire that goes to heat element, and the white wire is attached to far end of heat element.

Hi Can I replace the ON / Off switch of the kettle... serial no 44722

Hello,
Not sure why you think it is cable problem ? Guess you have checked the fuse ? Have you de-scaled the kettle ? Most likely scene is the element burnt out so have you access to a multi-meter, which could verify an open circuit - usually meaning that the heating element has burnt out. Sounding like a replacement kettle is needed, I'm afraid.

Kettle stoped working...

After the warranty was over, our beautiful electric kettle just stopped working.
Toastess International Kettle
Model: TJK-103 120V, 60 Hz, 1500 W
Here is what I did to fix the problem.
Unplug the kettle and empty it completely.
Remove excess residual water inside.
Remove the bottom cover by removing the screws holding it.
Check the wires inside, the ones connected to the heat element.
On our kettle, one of them was completely burned off and disconnected.
So I replaced it with a heavy duty equivalent copper wire and sauder it in place.
Make sure that you do a good job installing and replacing the new copper wire.
Kettle is now fixed and working perfectly.

Wiring diagram kettle

The wiring good the kettle is pretty simple. Black goes to x on the plug white is y and ground is the green terminal. In the kettle the black goes to one of the two terminals on the thermostat. Then a jumper wire from the other thermostat terminal goes to one of the two terminals on the element. Then the white wire goes to the other element terminal. The ground or green attaches to the metal surface inside.

After clening the kettle it blows breakers

You got the Heat element and or thermostat wet. Open the kettle to expose the electronics and let it dry for days. try again it might dry out.

Or you will need to replace the heat element, thermostat, and probably the wires. if it hasn't dried out by now.

Doesn't boil even though power to the unit as indicated by the lights

sounds as if you have a lose wire in the base or else you element has failed. Undo the bottom of the kettle and check all wires are connected to the element. If all the wires are connect i would say your element has blown.

Star popcorn maker need insulation part between element/and pot?

there is insulation between the element and the outer kettle. This insulation can get brittle and crumble with age. I was lookiing for some parts as I have this kettle also and was told the kettle and parts are no longer available. If anyone has access to these parts please email me at [email protected]. Thank you. Gary

Heater Element Replacement

Yes I think they do but these may also be unavailable. You could try sourcing 'after market' replacement elements, these are universal fit elements often from the original suppliers and cheaper too. Try searching the web for Russell Hobbs replacement kettle elements.
