    My Camera is JVC model GR-D70E and I can't see no picture. Instead, I get this error "Lens Covers" though it is not on. Since it is a known problem because of production failure, I think it should be fixed free by JVC.
    What shall I do and where shall I get free repair.
    Came was purchased in Switzerland.
    Thank you.

Apparently this same problem exists on many different models. I have a JVC grd72u. I called JVC @ 800-252-5722. I selected the "Corrective Action Program" prompt from the automated attendent. I spoke to a customer service rep. They are aware of the problem and are fixing it for free, but only until 12/31/07. I suggest you call ASAP and get your name in the computer. If the problem is something besides the CCD sensor, they will call you with the estimate to repair.

Lens Cap Error

You have a defective CCD imager - the part of the lens that receives the image. Will need to be replaced.

My Sony DCR DVD 108 has no image at all with or with out disc says lens cap may be closed but it isnt flashing E:61:11 top right hand side of touch screen plays previously recorded dvd fine but thats it.

You may have lost your image sensor.
  1. Take lens cap off.
  2. Look in lens make sure there is nothing on or blocking lens.
  3. Find bright room & see if image comes up.
  4. Make sure your in video record mode.
  5. If you have eyepiece lens look to make sure it is off. {Most cams will not let you use both at same time.}
  6. Still no image try recording on blank disk then play back see if image is recording.
If that does not work MSG back.

JVC GR-D270 MiniDV camera i dont see nothing to my lens

You have an internal "lens cap" that covers the lens to protect it when it is not in use. Look around the front of the camera, near the lens and you should find some sort of switch or lever that will open the lens cap.
