Colors glowing to bright

The whites are realy bright and all the medium colors seem to be too dark, but the picture itself would be good if I could tone the bright down.

we can raise the brightness up and parts are still too dark to see where as the white is too bright and everything is blurred around the edges.

Why does my sanyo dp46848 screen go dark but whites are too bright?

First try to gently push the cable between the main board and the LCD controller (T-CON) board and if that doesn't affect the image then replace the T-con board.

Dark picture

you probably have a bad capacitor on the invertor board. try shining a flashlight into it to see if you can see anything. if capacitors are good, you might have some burnt out backlight bulbs. i just had the same problem, replaced the capacitors but messed something else up on the way i guess cause now all i have is a bright white screen with a few colors here and there.

Pictue is dark as hell

use the advanced options page and reset the factor blue and red convergence defaults then do re apply the auto color defaults color at first it seemed very red (which is good because red was the missing factor in the green picture) but after reseting all the color and tints to the normal ranges I then reset the color auto correct again and all seems fine.
