Whirlpool GU2548 green light flashing, nothing working

Whirlpool Dishwasher GU2548 about 2 years old. The Accusense green light is flashing continuously. I tried to cancel, nothing happened, the light still blinks. Then I tried to press any other button, nothing changed. Any idea what's wrong?

This is the second time I have dealt with this same problem in 2 1/2 years. I tried to hold down the start button, but nothing happened.

The dishwasher was installed in 2/05. The light was blinking constantly in 3/05 - the heater element was the problem; part of the quality issue that was recalled/repaired. Then in 11/05 my sub-panel was replaced, due to poor construction (the start button perforated).

Now in 11/2007, my button fell off again from the new panel, and tonight the dishwasher will not work and the light is flashing and the manual tells me to call customer service to check the heater circuit. Is this another faulty heater circuit? I really am wondering!

I just called them last week and found out the sub-panel costs $170 to replace so I just superglued the button back on, but now I don't know what to do. I am not happy with the dishwasher at all, my husband hates the dishwasher, and last time I called a scheduled service call was $59 just for the diagnostics!

I have had the same problem with my the same dishwasher. The manual says that "the dishwasher has malfunctioned. Call service to check heater element". I called service and they are saying that replacing the heater element and possibly the electronic panel may be required. Total cost (part + labor) = $350-400!! I am very very upset with Whirlpool right now.

I have exact same problem with mine. Had Engineer out to tell me it requires new motor. The total cost would be €260. He blamed sand in water as we live near sea. By the way mine survived for 2 1/2 yrs with fairly gentle use

Accu sense Light keeps flashing and dish washer wont do anything. help

Under the dishwasher there is a 'kickPlate " turn the power off to the unit and there are 2 screws holding the kickplate on behind it there is a Book ( Tech Sheet ) that will tell you what the accusense lighting means. I thinks it mean you have a bad heater circuit tho which is either a bad heating element or control board. It could possible be the sump motor assy too.
Any qusetions feel free to ask hope this helped

I have a Whirlpool Gold, had 4years,had to replace

Thermal fuse mounted to the control board see if you have power on each side of it checking from post to ground,if you got power going in but none going out it's blown, and has a more serious issue somewhere.

What flashing are you referring to ? This could very well be a fault code.

Cycle buttons work, option buttons dont, Cant deselect heated dry, Wont start

The part is covered by warranty. However, the labor is not and Whirlpool will not replace the part without having someone service the unit. Every place I checked wanted $100 just to come out and tell me what was wrong. Any service would be extra. Seems like Whirlpool figured out how not to stand behind its products. They should be held accountable.
