Check Scanning via the computer and save to file. If this shows the same fault then it is the scan CCD failing- Scrap the unit not a repair option[Unless it is still under warranty that is]

WHEN I MAKE COPY OR PRINT THE PRINTED PAGE IS NOT CLEAR, IT HAS SOME VERTICAL LINE ON LEFT SIDE AND SOME DOTTS ON RIGHTY SIDE, WHAT SHOULD I DO SOLVE THESE PROBLEM?

For copy jobs, clean the glass with a soft clean cloth, regularly, not just the 8.5 x 11 screen but the 11-inch x .5 inch strip that copies when using the document feeder. Print job: their is probably dirt or ink on the rolling parts. Q-tips are good for cleaning this up, careful, don't burn your fingers.

B&w 6800 lots of horizontal black line areas. also, a vertical white strip about 3/4 inch wide about 3 inches from left side of paper

Hi!

the best thing is to make a copy using the glass and not the document feeder! If there is no lines on the copy simply lift up the cover and on the left side of the glass will be a thin strip of glass,Clean it with a dampened cloth and all line and marks should be gone1

Good Luck!

When using the copier a 1/2 inch black line on right side on top of the copy. Cleaned glass, no nicks just started. it does it with autu and manual feed.

Did yo clean the thin glass on the extreme left side. If you lift the document feeder cover, you'll see the thin glass strip. Make sure it's clean.

What causes a line down the middle of copied pages

There is something on your scan glass. My guess is you are getting the line on your copies when you run the original through the document feeder. If you get lines through the document feeder but not on copies made off the glass then it is a dirty scan glass. There is a thin glass strip where the document feeder feeds the original. Usually something like white out that did not dry smears off an original and ends up on this thin strip of glass. Scratch it off with your finger nail and use some glass cleaner to resolve the problem. The scan glass is about 1/2 an inch to an inch wide and will be on the same side of the machine that the copier feeds the originals in on.

In copy mode I am getting a back strip along the left hand side of the copy. The strip also shows up in the preview. Strip used to be half inch thick and is now an inch thick.

Is any part of the image missing under this black strip, or is it just margin from the side of the document to the end of the glass?
If nothing's missing, then probably you set a larger original size in the settings somewhere.
Try a sheet of white paper the size of the glass, put on top of the (smaller) copied picture or document; when scanning it is not a big deal, you can always choose the area to be scanned, right?
If however part of the document is missing, this can mean that the photosensitive element is faulty and doesn't read a couple hundred pixels on that side and the device needs repair.
