You can retrieve them using a 3rd party software but you shouldn't take a single shot after formatting because if you did, there's NO way for you to retrieve them back.

Samsung camera L50 card error

If this card has been used before in a previous camera, it would say card error, because it was formatted for the previous camera. However if you do not have any pictures on the card yet I would go to the camera settings menu and format the card. DO NOT format if you have pictures that you would like to keep on the card, because when you format, you stand a chance of erasing them. After formatting the card it cannot be used in any other camera until formatted again.

When I turn on my camera, in the middle of the screen in a black box it says " DCF full error" what does this mean and how do I get it to go away? I have tried resetting my camera and formatting...

Hello

Thank you for using FIXYA!!!

OK, firstly let me state what exactly the error message you are receiving concludes to:
"The "DCF full error" occurs when you use memory card in your camera which is formatted in another camera. The error is the result of improper formatting of the memory card which leads to incompatibility of the card with the Samsung camera."

Now, i the resolution for this specific problem is to format the memory card in the Samsung camera.

I know you stated that you have already formatted the card, but you did not state if you formatted the card in your camera, or on your computer.

Try the above solution and let me know if the problem still persists.

Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards

How to delete all photos in memory

Hi,

Formatting a memory will delete all the photos including the protected images. Download important images to your PC before formatting the memory

1. Go to Settings (it will prompt you to some options)
2. Go to Format
[No]: The Memory Will not be formated.
[Yes}: A window for confi rming the selection displays.
3. Select the [Yes] menu.
2. A [Processing!] message appears and the memory will be formatted. If you run FORMAT in Play mode, a 3. [No Image!] message will appear.

I've been using this camera for just over 2 years now with the same 1GB SD memory card. but just a week ago at my high school graduation party and ceremony, I've taken a decent amount of pictures(maybe...

"Card error" usually means the camera wants you to format the card in the camera but you should have downloaded the contents to your computer first using a card reader if necessary. Your "friends" should have warned you about that. Formatting completely erases the card and optimizes it for the camera it was formatted in.

Lots of file errors, O also now can't copy files off, says i/o device error

try using a memory card with 2GB or below
the camera might be having some problems reading the 4GB that you have

if you connect the camera to your computer and file error still appears that means that the memory card is corrupted and you really need to format it

before you do make sure that you have a copy of the files saved in the memory card

*formatting the memory card will delete all the files saved in it

go to MENU> SET UP > FORMAT

File error

Take off what pictures you can. Put the card in the camera and format it. Everything will be erased but, the entire card will be formatted to suite your camera.

File error

I have two S760 also having the 'file error' on just some shots Like graham-s-sk new sandisk 2gb and when downloaded the file is there but the attributes are currupted. Talked to Samsung who said the sd card should be formatted on the camera and not to rely on the Sandisk formatting. Have tried this and taken 100 test shots - so far so good!

Memory Card

Try taking the SD card out then plug the camera into the p.c then format the internal memory.
