Can't change language

How do I change the language on my mp3 player?

  • beckyconnor Jan 14, 2009

How can I tell if I'm at the "Music" selection if it's in another language??? Even though I scroll down on a "menu" I have no clue what the "menu" is saying.

I apologize, I inadvertantly clicked "inappropriate content". I wasn't sure what it meant by the choices it offered to rate the solution. I was trying to say it didn't work.

    do you have another solution?

If you have the Sansa Clip 2GB, click the small button in the right-upper corner (with the small little house-icon above it) on the front of your sansa so you get to "Music", then press the play/pause button once to get to "Settings", use the button over(play/pause) and under the round middle-button to go up or down in Settings. There you can find Language, click on the forward-button once to see which language choices you have(go up/down in the list same way as in Settings). Choose language by pressing the forward button when you've selected language. This should bring you back to "Language" (now it should be in the language you chose) Hope this helps!

When you first turn your sansa on it should automatically be on Music, can you see two tones or maybe a headphone icon you will know your in the right place even if the language is wrong
If you then press the play/pause button once you should see a icon that looks like the controllers on a mixingtable, if you then press the forward button once the first setting is Equalizer (although you won't be able to read this), press the down-button 3 times (settings Power, Display, Language) and then press the forward button once and then press the round button once (hopefully eng is the first choice in the Language list for you as well.) Otherwise a tip is if you know what language your sansa is set on now, go to www.google.com and use the Language tool to be able to figure out what is says?

Language in zen

To reset the language displayed on a ZEN player to English, change the language back to English or run Cleanup from the player.
For detailed instructions on how to access the Recovery Mode of a MP3 player, please see Recovery Mode: What to Do and How to Access.
If the player is a flash based player, such as a ZEN Nano, ZEN Nano Plus or MuVo, the language can be reset by manually changing the language or updating the firmware. To manually change the language:
  1. Press the scroll wheel to access the main menu.
  2. Scroll to the Settings option (the icon looks like a gear).
  3. Scroll to the Language option (the icon looks like a pearson speaking).
For detailed instructions on how to update the firmware of a MP3 player, please see Updating the Firmware on a Creative MP3 Player.
