The machine leaks out of the powder drawer.I have put hot water down it in case it was undissolved powder. At first this course of action worked but now it has decided it will flood every time it is used. Also it does not seem to pump all the water out of the drum.Could it be the pump needs cleaning out ? Is there a solution that could be put in the machine to clean it out and dissolve any hairs/cotton and so on ? I am quite technical so given instructions would cleaning the pump out be something i would be able to do myself ? I should mention we have dogs and the wife washed one of the dog beds some time ago.The machine is about seven years old i think. Thanks
Firstly you will need to take out the soap drawer and thoroughly clean it and the spray holes that are above the soap drawer. secondly i would reduce the cold water pressure to a fast trickle/jet that way it will not be spraying all over the place. the filter sounds as though it will need cleaning out. unplug machine, from the rear is a metal plate, remove it to gain access to the bottom hose-this incorperates the filter. undo secure jubilee clip and lower hose. remove debris and check the hose and pump for further obstructions. you should be ok after that. try to beat out the dog blankets outside b4 washing to remove as many hairs as poss. tone.

Fabulous! I saw this reply from Tony and finally found this mysterious filter that's not mentioned in the Aquarius Extra WMA48 manual! My next door neighbour is now lying on my floor removing the gunk and some of thsoe colour absorbant tissues you put in to avoid colour runs which had somehow worked their way down between the rubber door seal and the drum! Thank you and fingers crossed that water stops coming out of the dispenser drawer pipe and flooding kitchen. Yet to do a cycle of wash but i'm hopeful now all is going to be fine! I'll let you know if anything else happens, if i go silent then all is fine and dandy!
