Toshiba Satellite 1400 Series Mini-PCI Laptop 802.11b/g Wireless

This is the only card that works in the mini-PCI slot in the 1905 series. eBay would be your best bet. You can look under "Toshiba 1905 wireless card" but ... make sure it's an Agere card, as most sellers are selling Intel, Broadcom, Atheros.... and none of them will work.

The Wireless Antenna On-Off switch is on the Right side. The Wireless Antenna LED is to the left of the On-Off switch. It glows when the wireless antenna is in use.

Turn the laptop over, Front facing you.
The Battery Compartment is on the Front Right corner.
The Wi-Fi Compartment Cover is on the Back Left corner.

Remove the single screw in the right middle of the cover. (Philips head)
See if a Wi-Fi PCI Mini Card is installed.

You'll have to obtain a Wi-Fi PCI Mini Card for your Toshiba.

According to this memo on the Toshiba support page, the internal wireless is not supported on A15-S1292, but you can get a PC card. Addendum - Wireless Information for your Satellite A15(v1; 02-03-2004; 65K)

Mini pci-e cards can be removed by clicking the card towards the case. The card will then pop out so you can remove it.

Assuming you're trying to go wireless with an internal mini-PCI wireless card - this series laptops has lots of incompatibilities with WiFi cards. This one I know for sure works well: MPC13A-20/R. It's an 802.11b card and it flies. Get it.

Not enough info per problem description. Not all 1900 series laptops have wireless cards installed, and not all 1900 series laptops are ready to handle wireless cards, either. Need to know what model your computer is, what wireless card you're using, ... C'mon. Let's have it...

The drivers for windows XP are available on this site : Drivers for Toshiba laptop
You can try and see if they are compatible with windows 2000, or install Windows XP which is better anyway.

As long as you have an open minipci slot, they should work. The antenna pigtails should plug into the card as well.

any USB wireless adaptor will plug n play to your pc, more reliably than a card starting for ~$20
