My electrolux dishwasher is throwing an E32 error

When I try to start it, it makes a hum sound (almost like a stuck motor) and then stops. If I open the front door, I can freely spin it. I've seen some articles that it might be the pressure sensor, but that's about all I know (I haven't dug in enough to know whether it is or not, or where the pressure sensor is).

Hello Heber Allred - Are you certain that the error code is E32? This manufacturer does not have an E32 error code for any dishwasher. They do have E02 or E12. Is the hum noise more like a grinding noise? If so, then I recommend contacting a professional to move forward accurately. The unit may be experiencing an issue with a faulty drain motor.

SOURCE: My Frigidaire Dishwasher motor is not spinning rinse cycle

am not sure.. just try this
Check with a multi-meter for 115/220V on motor's tags.
If you don't get this voltage measurement, your problem is not with the motor.
In case you have 115/220V on motor's tags, try first to replace its brushes (2 carbon contacts that transfer the curent to the motor's armature).
try this good luck

SOURCE: I have a Frigidaire Ultra

I may have the answer. I had what sounded to be the same problem. I found the dishes were dirty after they were cleaned, but I found there may have been a big pot lid blocking the upper arm. I decided to run the machine again, and after a bit opened the dishwasher after to make sure it was not a problem with the arm. Sure enough, the arm wasn't moving. However, I found out on the Frigidaire webpage that some models have an alternating spray cycle, where only one arm spins at any given time. After reading this I checked again, and it had moved by that time. I checked a few times more to confirm this. So it ended up it was an arm blockage after all. Hope this helped...good luck.

SOURCE: GE triton dishwasher middle spin arm not spinning

I had the same problem and found two things which were causing it
-The O-ring was missing off of the tube connection on the back of the dryer that inserts into the sprayer tube. I found a size 11 O-Ring at Home Depot and it worked
-The openings on the underside of the spray arm are what propels the sprayer to spin. I found small pieces of plastic debris in the openings and cleaned them out.

Now the middle arm spins like it should.

SOURCE: Dishwasher starts to fill then just hums

Sounds like a motor problem. Behind the chopper is an access to the impeller, try turning the impeller or the chopper blade and see if the motor will rotate. If it doesn't, then something is stuck preventing the motor from running.

My samsung dishwasher has a constant buzz that occurs during start up and lasts through all of the cycles. I saw where there is an electrical noise filter and did not know if that could be the cause.

No a noise filter is a different kettle of fish. That stops electrical interference noise from affecting your television, radios and electrical devices.

The most likely source of the hum is the start capacitor on the motor, or the motor itself.

This has a different idea

Humming or Grinding If your Samsung dishwasher makes noise when starting that sounds like a low hum, it's part of normal function. The motor makes this sound as it operates throughout the wash cycle. However, a dishwasher making loud humming noise or grinding sounds could mean that debris is caught in the drain pump.

Samsung Dishwasher Making Noise? Follow These Tips

This says the drain pump, but the drain pump only runs to empty out so it wouldn't do it all the time.

Dishwasher starts then pauses and drains.

Fixed! I had the issue where the cycle would start, the KUDS30IXBL8 would hum 4-5 times and then drain. Plastic folk pieces jammed in the disposer. These instructions took a few minutes (only 5 screws and a couple clips) to figure out how to take it apart, and it only took 60 seconds to put back together. Dishwasher fills with water. then hums but dosen't clean

Sounds like water-level sensor is ok as it stops filling then 'hums'. I'd (carefully) check the connections to the connections between the level-sensor and the wash motor start relay. Could be motor is bad or something is causing it to become 'jammed'. Before you begin opening the appliance, I'd attempt to vacuum out the water or try putting the control in the last position to cause it to try to pump out the water.

My model number is 70209974. My dishwasher either won't start at all or it starts sounds as though it is filling then stops and make a humming sound but nothing is happening. There is no error code...

Hello

Unplug the appliance and take off the inspection panel below the door.

Check to see if the base has water in it.

When these machines have a leak into the base the circulation pump motor tends to sit in the water (poor design).

If your motor was wet, this would trip the mains.

It may also blow the pcb.

You could be looking at a pcb and motor change to repair your appliance.

It may be worthwhile drying out the motor, a fan heater aimed into the inspection panel (open) would help.

Once dry, try the machine again.

If still no joy, take the door apart and see if there is physical damage to the control board in the door.

Pl refer user manual. In general flashing light may mean : no water flow, salt chamber empty, door not closed etc. It all depends on the error code message designed.assigned by the manufacturer.
