Question about Dell Inspiron 6000 Notebook
TweakUI won't fix it. The "bottom toolbar" (it's called the taskbar) and your desktop icons are all run by a program in windows called Explorer. Explorer has likely failed to start up correctly, and this is usually because of spyware. You'll want to try rebooting the system into safe mode (press f8 during system startup, right before the windows logo screen), and select "Safe Mode with Networking" so we can get online, hopefully. Now download a tool like Spybot Search and Destroy if you don't have it. It's anti-spyware, and usually fixes most of these types of problems. Make sure to update it, and then do a scan.

"Download TweakUI from the link below, install it, click Start>Run, and type in TWEAKUI now click ok, in the window that pops up, click on Pepair, now click on the down arrow in the right hand pane, make sure Rebuild Icons is selected, now click Repair Now, Click OK, then Reboot, al should be well then." http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/c/a/fca6767b-9ed9-45a6-b352-839afb2a2679/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

The other way to solving this problem is going into safe mode, then hit the cltr+Alt+del, then the task manger opens, the type the mscnfig, then the dailogue box opens, then you click on the tab were it says system restoration. click there and then take it to previous date. after the system restarts, please run the anti-virus on the system.

Everytime i turn on my Dell inspiron 6000 laptop, my Taskbar, where start is supposed to be at the bottom has disappeared. I thought at first that i had pulled it down under the screen, but then that didnt work when i tryed to move it back up. My laptop is fairly new though, so i would of thought that this wouldnt occur.
