I bought this TV about a year and a half ago. A couple days ago I turned it on but no picture came on. The audio works fine but the TV is not producing a picture. Can somebody help me out with this? Westinghouse has been no help at all. Thanks
I have had this problem now for about six months with my Niko OPT-3211W. After replacing the Inverter card, VIT70002.00 as suggested nothing changed. I then read that it may be a couple of capacitors in the power supply, but I do not have the skills needed to replace them, nor do I want to pay to fix it. The solution is simple... turn on the TV and wait two to five minutes, then turn off the main power. I suggest using a power strip. Then turn the power back on in two to five seconds. The TV will come back on and it works great from then on. I thought that it was a freak thing, but it keeps working.
I had the same problem today, but noticed the picture is there, but almost like the "light" setting has been tuned to 0 so no light comes through the tv... if i could see my menu i could probably reset it but thats the real problem...
I just got my 32" Westinghouse LCD SK32H240S back yesterday from a warranty business and they replaced a transformer on the power supply. It works now so hopefully that helps someone pinpoint this problem.

No quick fixes. A component such as a capacitor is heating up and failing. Sometimes a cracked solder connection will work fine until it heats up and no longer sustains the connection.
When the screen goes off, shine a very bright flashlight at the screen to see if the image is still there. In many cases, the problem is the screen backlight, which consists of several CCFL tubes (fluorescent lamps) and a circuit board called the inverter (similar to a lamp ballast).
If the image is there, but the backlight is off, then you just may need a new inverter board.
I have a Westinghouse LCD; model # LTV-20v2SL and it stopped working. I
had turned it on, then it just went off...I tried using different
outlets, unplugging for a moment or 2 and then re-plugging in; nothing.
It was purchased a couple of years ago; fairly new. Any suggestions?
I bought a 32 LCD Westinghouse TV 12 months ago. It stopped working so I brought it to a TV repair shop. They determined that the main board went out. The TV's power supply is working but there is no screen or sound, nothing. The TV repair shop had to call Westinghouse to inquire about a replacement part. Funny, Westinghouse doesn’t make replacement parts for this TV. Westinghouse said we need to ship it back to them and they will send us a new TV. Okay that sounds good but they wont pay the $100 plus shipping costs for us to ship the broken TV back to them. Also, they make you send them the TV before they send you the replacement TV. That can take days. If the customer's TV went out because of the company’s faulty product, the customer shouldn't have to dic around with this shipping issue – Waa, Waa! The TV was nice but for it to conk out in one-year shows what shi++y merchandise Westinghouse is selling their consumers.“Buyer Beware”
