SOURCE: My Samsung HT-WZ410 home theatre

I've advice you to check your exhaust fan if working properly.
The processor shuts down the unit because it sense that you have a problem on the fan.
This is happen to avoid further damaged to your output I.C. which is quite expensive.
If the fan is not working then try to clean it, sometimes it is full of dust that caused to stop from functioning. If you confirmed that the fan is already defective then replaced it with a new one.
After replacing and the symptom is still there then I've advice you to look for a qualified technician because there might be sometime wrong on the board (faulty parts).

Pls rate my help.

Thanks for using fixya...

SOURCE: Samsung Theater System keeps flashing 'fan chk'

When it tells you to check the fan it mans the device is overheating.
you can try buying a air spray and spraying it into the device/use a vacuum cleaner on the fan ports in case there is dust blocking the system

Keeping your computers ventilation clean and cool

IMPORTANT Keeping your computers ventilation clean will help it live and longer life one of the main reasons for a computer to over heat is the build up of dust and lint it collects inside and around vents and fan areas! to prevent this, use 'compressed air in a can' this used in the correct way will blow away any dust/lint that prevents the proper airflow to keep it all cool and will make many parts inside of the computer overheat and in some cases die so with a simple 'clean rule' by taking care in the correct way use of a compressed air can' will help prevent your computer from overheating and prolong the use of it.

how to do this I have attached a youtube video to help

My ac, heater, and defrost is not working in my 2001 town and country lxi . Nothing blows out is there a fuse that needs to be replaced/

U could chk the fuse in ur fuse panel. Your owners manual should show a diagram of the box with the fuses and what they do, so you can find the 1 that controls your blower fan. The box is located 1 of 2 places either around where your left knee is while driving on the dash or when you open your door on the side of the dash I cant recall which place that particular vehicle has it. Both will have a cover to disguise it to make it look like it is just part of dash but you should see it if your looking for it. However I would venture to say it is your fan itself. Chk the fuse 1st because it is the easiest thing to chk but be prepared for the alternative. It really isn't to hard to change a fan though and if your lucky it will be located directly under your dash on the passenger side of vehicle. I think chrysler has them there but if not it should be in that general area. You can pull it out and take it to an automotive store where they will most likely test it for free and let you know if ity is bad or not. If you do have to get a fan I would recommend getting 1 from a salvaged parts dealer in your area. I have purchased many parts from salvage dealers and have been completely satisfied with the products and You can save a lot of $ which in todays economy might not be a bad idea : ). Also if you go that route and your part doesn't work you can always return it within a few days for a difff 1 or your money back, they just don't gicve guarantees so you can't take it back if it goes out in 90 days or something. Anyway I really think that this is going to be your blower fan I have seen the same thing a dozen times and always the fan. So good luck and I hope I was able to help answer your question. Thank you

Cooling Fan

The cooling fan supplies cool air to the unit to prevent overheating.

Please observe the following cautions for your safety.

Make sure the unit is well-ventilated. If the unit has poor ventilation, the temperature inside the unit may rise

and may damage it.

Do not obstruct the cooling fan or ventilation holes. (If the cooling fan or ventilation holes are covered with a
newspaper or cloth, heat may build up inside the unit and fire may result.)

So look at the fan and make sure it's turning. Pick out the dust balls. Give the system room to breath (Page 13: 4" clearance from the fan)

Hlp 5063w on off front button flashing lamp then stanby..hear sound no picture.. shuts off then comes on.

If the lamp and standby lights are both flashing and the timer light is off, check that the lamp cover on the back of the TV is properly positioned in the groove and secured by the screw. Take it off and check that the screws that hold the lamp itself are secure. There is an safety feature that keeps the lamp from turning on when the lamp cover is off.

If the three lights (timer, lamp, and standby) are blinking, then the lamp needs to be replaced. If the timer and standby lights are blinking and the lamp light is off, then a cooling fan isn't working. When only the standby light is blinking and the other lights are off, the unit is overheating and a ventilation area may be blocked.

I hope this helps.

Fan chk problem too

it means the home theater is over heating and the unit will shut down to prevent any damage. This can happen if the unit is stacked along with other electronic devices or the unit is in an enclosed area that prevents the unit from cooling properly. To decrease the chance of overheating, relocate your home theater to a more open area.

If the home theater display reads PROTECTION every time you turn it on, no matter where or how the unit is placed, it needs service. To set up service call Samsung Customer Care at 1-800-SAMSUNG (1-800-726-7864). Have your model number and serial number on hand to set up service.

Ps3 keeps freezing on games only

Try using a can of air to blow out the fan area. Even though its well ventilated it may be full of dust. It sounds like an overheating issue. Also look into aftermarket fan/cooling solutions, that dont plug directly into the PS3 and have there own outlet power plug.

Overheating too fast.

There's a cooling fan on the back. Is it clogged up or otherwise not turning when hot? From Page 21...

may rise and may damage it.
■ Do not obstruct the cooling fan or ventilation holes. If the cooling fan or ventilation holes are covered
