How do i lock this becouse i think the nabours are shiring my connection

Go to the web based interface, should be accessible by typing this address. 198.162.1.1 . Once there look for the security tab where it will ask you to choose wap or wep. Choose wep if available it's more secure, from there just follow the instructions to set a SSD and password .

you would need to know the ip adress put it into the browser. Then you would need to know the user name and password. it may ask for this info. Then you would look through the setens for a WEP password once you creat it rite it down somewhere so you can enter it on all the computers that conect wirlessly.

Try RESETTING the Netgear back to the default setting and then configure it again.
To RESET the Netgear, power up the Netgear then press andhold the RESET button at the back of the router until all the LEDs flash. Connect a LAN cable from the Netgear to the LAN port on yourcomputer, open a browser and enter the Netgear configuration URL -
http://192.168.0.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = password You can now change the admin password and configure thewireless settings.
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2encryption.
Apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.

If this does not work then the Netgear routy is faulty, then you need a new wireless router.

My Netgear WG111v3 cannot connect to internet

Hi,

You need to do some wireless setting on router,
Please follow steps to fix your issue

1.Please changed network (SSID)name of router
2.Reinstall adapter driver
If you follow above steps defenately your issue would be resolved

Link the netgear wgr614v10 to linksys wireless adapter

First you will need to check the wireless settings of the router. Do you have any computer connected to the router ? If not then connect the computer to the router and open the set up page of the router, check the wireless settings of the router.
Once you have all the wireless settings of the router then you can try to connect to the wireless network on your wireless computer.
