Phone cuts out or reception bad when talking on the phone KXTGA641

I've had my phone for a few years and have never had an issue with it until recently. When I am talking on the phone, periodically the phone cuts out or my voice sounds robotic to the person on the other end of the line. Is this a battery issue or an issue with interference all of a sudden? It seems too weird that if it were a battery issue that it would affect all 4 handsets...(they all have the same issue)??? And if it were interference, what could it be? We know it's not the telephone line because we've checked the line with another working phone and it's fine. It does seem like the closer you are to the base the better the reception, but even still it periodically cuts out... Thanks for your help.

SOURCE: I have a Panasonic KX-TGA652 dual handset no

Id try the following in this order:

  1. Try swapping batteries with another set and see if the problem follows the battery
  2. Try re-registering the handset, they could of missed one at the factory. that is done by selecting menu->initial settings->register handset
If this doesn't work, then return for warranty/exchange. Mine seem to work great right out of the box.

Stalls at lights, sounds like it is chugging air like a tractor.

try this simple test
start the car and hold at around 1000 rpms until the engine warms up
now place it in gear with the handbrake on ( don't touch the foot brake
if it is idling at around 800 rpms and is smooth, apply the foot brake
if it plays up , replace the brake booster as there is a vacuum leak upsetting the idle mixture setting
recheck by allowing it idle in neutral with the hand brake on and the apply the foot brake

My service has worked fine for months and i had been using the 50 dollar a month unlimited prepaid plan. 2 weeks ago i changed my plan to the prepaid 30 a month 1500min/text plan instead to save a bit of...

Did you change phones? Sim cards? I am assuming you have the same phone, and they switched out the sim card (or maybe not?) when you changed plans.

Also, all 4G phones are also 3G and 2G phones, and they simply pick the best available. So if you lose 4G coverage, it will simply switch to the wider 3g network and when you're really remote, drop to 2G. This effects data speed primarily, there isn't any qualitative difference between them for voice and text.

It sounds like you might have something screwy with your sim card when the plan changed happened, I would call T-Mobile or visit a store and ask for a new sim card and be vocal about the poor reception after the plan change. Changing plans shouldn't normally effect reception, only changing phones/networks.

I myself experienced reception issues like yours, and the problem was a bad simcard. I'm sorry for the vague answers, but I think your best bet is to go to a T-Mobile store. They should replace the sim card free of charge.

My rumble 30 bass amp makes a lot of bad noise when i plug it in. it started off when i first started playing it and it worked fine, then after a few minutes it started making the noise. i've tried...

How new is the amp?

A single faulty solder can do that...I'd try returning in to the seller.
Have you tried a different amp with the same equipment?

Sounds like a wiring issue.

Hope I've helped

My Nokia E71 phone has been saying "Insert SIM Card" often. It seems like it happens when it gets warm, but only from use or from having it outside in the summer. Even if it isn't in direct...

Your phone is under warranty and so Nokia must give you support for the problem seen. The SIM card detection pins can be dirty or loose and so the contacting could be bad but being a new phone it is not possible. However it is best to remove the SIM card and wipe the contacts with some spirit and a cotton bud and wipe it clean to have a polished surface.
If there is a loose fitting of the SIM then this must be complained.
However as you have observed if the fault is intermitent it can be due to a faulty mother board, possible poor solder joints or tracks that are cracked.
In this case you MUST get a free service or part replaced and so DO NOT TAMPER THE SET until you show it to NOKIA CARE.

I get great sound on my lg dare calls but the reception is poor. Sometimes caller on other end cuts out. Is the a way to get better reception. Current carrier is Verizon.

Your problem isn't your service provider-its your phone! I have a different LG phone than you, but from my own experience and what i have heard from many people who have LG phones, they all have reception problems. LG phones have terrible antennas in their phones. I'm trying to work on a solution to that now, if its possible. Contact me(True Love in DC) in a week to see if i discovered any solutions. In the meantime, a good thing to know about reception with ANY phone is this: the antenna is always at the top of your phone. Avoid holding or placing your hand and fingers near the top of your phone. And NEVER bend over while talking on the phone as u will be pointing your phone towards the ground. This almost ALWAYS cuts off your reception or even disconnects your call in progress. Learn the best reception spots in and around your home and other places you may be at too. Avoid walking around while talking on the phone. Certain buildings or parts of buildings play a part in your reception as well as certain lighting in the building. And finally, atmospheric conditions(storms, cloud cover, etc) are a big contributer in reception problems!

I had just filled up about two days ago and didn't have this problem before. My truck is sluggish and I have to put my foot on the gas really hard to kick in the speed then it gets to going.Could bad...

Not the gas, never going to get any gas that will
ever be that bad, that you will notice anything

Have to go over entire vehicle until you find an issue

The days of break down & fix, have been over for 20 years

You drive all year & do not perform any checks or testing,
once or twice a year you got problems

No one will spend any money for no reason

No repair shop will have a clue what I'am talking about

It gets expensive when you ask a shop to solve any issue
They pick & choose what they want to do

They seldom just diagnose your drivability issues
You get all sorts of parts & so called tune-up non sense
that has nothing to with why your there

Good Luck

Highback cracked, not broken off yet, anyway fixing it? Or any shop carries parts? Don't want to pay shipping again...

I've repaired mine in on mountain a few times with super glue. Not my first choice but it does work. As for a permeant repair I would talk to K2 about the issue, I've talked with them a few times and they generally are a decent group to deal with.
