Connect a LAN cable from Belkin to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open a browser on your laptop/computer and enter the Belkin's configuration URL. http://192.168.2.1
The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default admin password.
You can now configure the wireless settings to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access. Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings. Try geting a routher that featres wirless and eathernet so you do not have to have two boxes. You will have to know its ip adress enter it internet explore and then you will be able to protect it through there.

Have you attempted resetting the router?
There's a small hole in the back of the router. Find a paperclip, unravel it, then stick it into that hole. Once inserted and you know the paperclip has reached the end of the hole, press in. Hold it in for about 30 seconds and the router will be reset.
NOTE: Resetting the router restores it to factory default settings (most of the time). This means any settings you have changed since then will have been erased! Reset the router at your own discretion.
If resetting the router doesn't do the trick, let me know. I'll find some instructions for forcefully accessing the control panel.
SOURCE: Not able to get the default gateway
I didn't find the routher listed, but I did find one that may be close here http://cache-www.belkin.com/support/dl/man_f5d7234-4_v4000_p8820-00118_reva01.pdf
If your gateway is showing as 192.168.100.1, and your computer is also getting something in the 192.168.100.x address, you should be able to put 192.168.100.1 in the address line of Internet Explurer and get to the router's web page. Thise instructions are on page 25 (actually 27 of the pdf and how odd they letter them a-z, aa-zz, aaa-zzz!)
It's also possible that your modem is giving out the IP addresses and not the router. If that's the case, you have to assign the 192.168.2.(2-254) address to your computer manually and point it to 192.168.2.1 so you can get to your router's web page. The specific instructions are in the back of the manual on page 75 (see above for translations ZZZ)
Hope this works for you.

I had this with Bt Internet and this exact same router, you have to phone Belkin up and they give you a complete set of new settings that you manually have to put in during setup. If i remember rightly its a free phone number and the operator who answered spoke semi-english so not all bad, hope this helps.

Get online
and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Belkin
Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support).
Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating
system when requested. Look for Manuals throughout the site.
Below is a direct link to their site where you just plug in your model number.
