Acer extensa 5630z beeps while running

Ok, if it is as what i think, the solution is very simple, just inter the SETUP (F2) and change the SATA mode to (IDE), the default is ACHI if i'm correct, i dont have time to enter the BIOS to get the right name, just do it..

enter the bios and change the SATA mode to IDE, then save and exit. now you can install XP..

just goto the BIOS and make hard Disk detect as IDE simply by changing the Detect Harddisk as value SATA to IDE then u can install XP

Reboot? Like turn off and turn back on? If your computer is frozen, hold the power button for 6-10 seconds. It'll turn off, then just turn it back on.

Please run system in safe-mode and see if it works then.


If both the keyboard and the touch-pad are not working, please remove the battery and run laptop on A/C.

If that doesn't help, reseat the keyboard cable on the mainboard.

If all fails, replace keyboard - It's a few US $
