My treo 700 wx has low signal strength

We have 2 treo 700wx's . We like the the NO DATA plan required feature with smart phone memory & calender etc. One phone shows 2-3 bars and one zero. The one with zero drops or misses calls, no surprise there. what can be done? I can disassemble anything could there be a dirty connection to the antennea?

SOURCE: my palm treo 700 wx won't sync

Try uninstalling the Microsoft Activesync. The Palm website offers the newly, innovated Activesync software available for your device. I would recommend reinstalling Microsoft Activesync from this support site.

How do you set up a mobile network

Go to 'Menu > Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Access point names', and make sure your carrier's data plan name is shown there. If so, tap over it and change the data, mainly 'APN', 'Username' and 'Passowrd', according to your carrier's instructions. Otherwise, i.e. if there is no data plan shown at all, tap 'Menu > New APN', and fill in the required data. Either way, after you finish, tap 'Menu > Save'. Then, press the back button as many times as required to take you where you were, before you started changing these settings.
Hope it works for you.
Anyway, please, let me know if you need additional informations.
Regards, Carlos

Trying to convert,if possible, nextel blackberry 8530i to boostmobile

watch this video

Boost Mobile has the cheapest (and slowest) data service around, and the Nextel Branded BlackBerry is the only smart phone that works with Boost's iDEN service.

The old 7520 and 7100i BlackBerry's can be purchased for around 50 dollars, and are very usable smart phones.

The newer BlackBerry 8350i is one of the best blackberry smartphones available. However on Nextel it costs more then 120 dollars a month for unlimited everything and on Boost mobile you can get unlimited service for $50 a month.

The difference however is that Boost mobile does not offer a Blackberry Data Plan and Nextel does. So if you want to browse the web, send emails, and be able to download apps, you have to convert your Nextel Blackberry to Boost Mobile.

The email works a little differently in that you can set up your yahoo or aol mail to forward to your Blackberry by using the email address

[email protected] as the forward to email address.

What are the differences of the Nextel Blackberry models?

Besides the obvious difference which is the design of the phone and the applications and memory available, the 8350i runs BlackBerry OS version 4.6 whereas the 7520 and 7100i run version 4.1. The older OS does not support as many apps and features.

To sum it up Boost Mobile Phones aren't good and Blackberry's are. It's really that simple.

Does Boost support the BlackBerry?

Not officially. Boost sells their Starter kit to "give new life to a previously used Boost or Nextel phone", but they make no specific mention of its compatibility with the BlackBerry. Using a BlackBerry on Boost is consistent with their terms and conditions, but you won't get any help from Boost for configuring your BlackBerry.

Which features work?

Voice service and basic data service work.

3rd-party apps work, including apps for web browsing, email, GPS, and instant messaging.

Over-the-air installation of apps using the BlackBerry Browser will work if youfollow the how-to.

Text messaging will work if you follow the how-to.

Apps can also be installed using the Desktop Manager software on your PC.

Which Boost plans included data service?

All Boost plans include basic data service

Do not open pc internet

if this is an unlocked phone, you need to get the apn settings from the provider you are using the phone with. most providers require that you have a data plan to access the internet. the most commen internet feature is the smart phone feature which will vary in cost from $20 per month up to $60. if you have the correct settings and the right internet feature it might be an issue with the signal or something as simple as clearing your history cache and cookies. to do this on the phone select the browser (even if the page doesnt display) then select options, browser options, and clear your history. i hope this helps!! also to get the settings, if your provider says it cannot be done contact LG they are extremely helpfull and will provide the steps.

Can i do videocall from nokia 6303i

Yes, if the following features are supported by your phone and your carrier: 1.The network must be fully compliant with the UMTS standards for 3G telecommunications to handle the data influx incurred during voice call as its' a data intensive service. 2.I would recommend that you subscribe for an unlimited data plan with your carrier. This is because video calls are very data intensive in nature(taking about 1.2MB per frame per second to stream H.264-MPEG video data over RTSP) and the voice and data are charged simultaneously. 3.Good signal strength is recommeded. 4.Low latency on the transmitted data is an added advantage.

CAN I LET VERIZON FLASH MY CELL PHONE? AND IF SO, HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

minimum $10 data plan with some new feature phones
It appears that users who buy one of nine phones — dubbed “3G multimedia” handsets — will have to sign up for one of two data plans: 25MB a month for a whopping $10 (that’s 40 cents a MB) or an unlimited option that will reportedly replace the current 75MB plan for $30 (also 40 cents a MB). That’s right, Verizon thinks 1 MB is worth slightly less than a 44-cent postage stamp. The plans are substantially pricier than AT&T’s $15-a-month unlimited web add-on for feature phones — which, of course, is optional — and follows moves by both Verizon and AT&T to require data plans with all new smartphone purchases

More importantly, the requirement and suggested data plans may signal Verizon’s plans to raise data fees for users on the LTE network it will begin to deploy this year. Verizon last week said LTE users will incur a basic subscriber fee plus usage charges based on bandwidth consumption. If the rumored price hike is any indication of what it will cost to use the 4G network, the carrier may not ever have to deal with the kind of congestion issues that AT&T has suffered due to the iPhone simply because no one will be able to afford it

My palm Treo wx will not sync with my computor. I have troulbe with it shutting off my plantronics T150 bluetooth. It continually needs to be rebooted. I have had this phone for 18 months. I have had...

the problems your experiencing are problems that every cell phone has...be patient and make sure your battery is charged well. after 18 months, I would just replace the battery. after time the batteries just lose full strength power.
your phone is like a mini computer and takes a good battery to run.
Replace the battery with a new OEM battery, charge it real good and see if your problems go away.
