Whirlpool 5' Jacuzzi Tub Bathtub Cetra 532 H525-969 Logo

Air actuator button hard to push in.

I have a Jucuzzi whirlpool bath tub. The air actuator button is very hard to push in. I have to use a screw driver or some other tool to push it in. I think the problem is in the bellows, but I don't know how to get the control panel apart to repair or replace it.

Thank you, Charlie

PS If there is a schematic or diagram available, where can I get it.

I have exactly the same problem. When I want to use the whirlpool, I have to use a toothbrush handle and press several times to get it to turn on. Then I have the same issue trying to get it to turn off. I have a contract on my home and the inspector has it listed as needing repaired. It has worked this way since it was installed new.

Hello, I have an Indoor Jacuzzi Tub Model N900000 Which is now 12 years old and it is rarely used but the last time we went to turn it on the display reads 88 and none of the controls work. It has a push button control pad with a heater function as well. When I open the access panel and cycle the power to the unit the there are two air inlet tube flappers that cycle open to close and vise versa then stop. One remains open while the other is closed. Not sure if this is related to the non-function or just a power cycle normal function. So the unit is getting power but nothing is functioning when any of the jet, temperature or light buttons are pushed. Do you have any idea where to start and how do you remove the control key pad before I start prying? Thanks Much

Can't turn on Whirlpool

Air Switch Repair
It sounds like you have a bad air switch located in your motor.
The air switch is what the air hose connects to on the back of the motor or on the box on top of the motor. The other end of the air hose is connected to the air button on the lip of the tub.
This is a latching air switch and when you push the air button it latches to send power to the motor. When the air button is pushed again it opens the latch in the air switch and stops power going to the motor shutting it off.

Push button on my jacuzzi won't start it despite power going to unit

The air button on your tub may be bad and not sending enough air to the air switch located on the bath pump.
The way to check this is to remove the bath pump and see if you can turn the bath pump on by taking a large straw and blowing into the air switch on the bath pump to see if you can get the bath pump to turn on.
If the bath pump comes on then you know you have a bad air button.
If you cannot get the bath pump to turn on then remove the air switch and plug the two wires going to the air switch together and then plugging the pump into a power outlet you know has power.
If the bath pump comes on then you know you need a new air switch in the motor.
If the motor does not come on then you need a new bath pump.

The air switch on my whirlpool tub will not toggle, i must hold the button in to keep motor running.

What you are experiencing when you push the Air Button down and it engages the BATH PUMP but when you release the the Air Button is a bad Air Switch in the BATH PUMP.
When you push the air button down it sends a column of air to move a small switch in the BATH PUMP. When the switch in the BATH PUMP is bad it will not engage.
What you need is a new Air Switch model TBS-339.

Whirlpool bath won't turn on.

Most of the control buttons on a tub are not electrical. These buttons are connected to an air line that runs to the motor. Sometimes an aggressive button push can literally blow the air line right off of the bottom of the button.
This problem is as easy to fix as it sounds. Find the loose air line and push it back onto the button. You will need to open up your access panel. Bring a flashlight.
Be sure to check the connection at the motor too. Good luck

Jacuzzi whirlpool, air on/off button on tub

If it is a air button that pushes in and comes back up, there is a good chance that the switch (which is mounted on the pump/motor) is bad. If the switch is a touch button on a key pad, the problem is in the control box for the pump/motor.

Difference tubs and air baths

whirlpool tub has jets that circulate the water, where an air bath uses bubbles that rise gently from the bottom of the tub. Whirlpools are typically used for therapy, air baths are used for a much gentler experience. Air baths can be used with aromatherapy/essential oils. Both offer a spa-like experience.
