Surround sound speaker outlets are not working

Certain speaker wire inputs are not working at all. For example my leftfront speaker wont work and my right surround speaker won't work anddon't emit any sound even when testing the speakers. I have a onkyoht-r500 and this is the first problem I have had in the last 5 yearsI've had it.

By the way all the speakers work properly individually so it must be those certain speaker inputs.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Denon receiver not working surround output

If everything is connected correct, the only thing I can think of, is you don't put in a surround signal. If you only feed 2 way stereo, only two speaker will work. Also if you switch to stereo, the other channels will stop working. Check the cables, the settings and the input.

I have a sony explode1000 watt amp xm 2r1852 hooked up to 2 10" Sony explode 1100 watt speakers, my protection light comes on green and stays on but I don't have no sound .I've checked all the wiring and...

1000W system is enough power to blast your neighborhood. If the + and - connections are correct the speaker balance is connected properly. I assume you have checked the speakers and they have been working fine.
Thus, the problem is internal, within the amp. Make certain that you have selected the proper sound out to the speakers. With the speakers attached, keep switching around from one sound path to the other. Make certain, your source (input to the amp) is proper and the signal is communicating with the amp. If the amp has direct out ports to L/R Center and Surround that you can use wires to connect to the speakers, try that method.

I have no sound coming from surround speakers and sub.

Some surround modes switch speakers on or off as required. It's possible that the inputs you are using have settings that remember your previous settings, ie: no sub and surround speakers. Check the inputs and also make certain that whatever is connected to them is putting out Dolby signals.

How to connect my JVC Audio/video control receiver digital surround sound system

Hi,
Need to know how to set up a surround sound system? It's fairly easy, with the right equipment. Surround sound gives you that "theater" feel in your own home.
For more information on optimizing the sound of your chosen system visit:
http://www.ehow.com/how_3393_set-surround-sound.html.
To set up a surround sound system go to:
http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/34579/219978.html.

Additionally,Some people prefers a wire diagram to connect their surround sound system. The basic concept to connect any audio system is to follow the path of sound from its origin to its final output stage, either headphones or speakers. There are other basic premises to follow, such as the impedance of the speakers and the output of the amplifier, but the concept is to start with an input and terminate each input to an output somewhere on the amplifier unit.
A wire diagram shows a picture that represents where each of these wires would go in considerably little detail. One example would be that a television set starts with a signal from somewhere, broadcast or cable, and comes out of that antenna and goes into the surround sound amplifier. The sound is processed in some way and the video is output to the television set and the audio is output to the speakers or headphones. Although complicated in textual from, most find that a wire diagram is much easier to follow.

My surround sound speakers don't work. No power

LCD will display which speakers are active. And this depends on 2 things: the source signal and decoder mode.
If source signal is stereo, only front L+R speakers are used. For 5.1 signal (for example DVD over HDMI / optical/coax spdif) all speakers installed (which are not set to None) are used.
To listen to stereo input signal using all speakers, switch decoder to enhancer mode.

Kenwood VR-305 receiver surround speakers will not work

make sure that all input cables are in the correct positon also make sure that any inputs you are using don't have a macrovision in them that will also kill your sound due to copyright laws and stuff but main thing check all wires coming in to receiver and if you need more inputs go to walmart and get a rca splitter basicaly its a 1 in two out connection to add more cables in the input

Surround sound speaker outlets are not working

Hello, I am sorry about your issue. If the speakers work on other terminals then it sounds like a problem with the receiver. It would need to be serviced or traded in. Please contact Onkyo at 800-229-1687 option #3. Thank you, Onkyo USA

Surround sound speaker outlets are not working

Might be a loose connection problem. A contact cleaner is handy in cleaning the terminals. Try to swap the speaker connections if you don't have a multi-tester to check the resistance of the speakers. If the right front speaker will sound after connecting it to the left front speaker output, then it is a speaker coil problem. If not, might be an amplifier channel problem.

Sound problem SVA HD4208T VI PDP

Hi there, I think you are ecnountering a connection issue. If you are using the yellow red and white connection then make sure all these wires are connected to the corresponded input line. Your television has two composite input line. Make sure the red and the white wire is connected in the same input line as the video. For example, Connect the yellow red and white wire in Input1 ( all are in the same input line) http://www.sva-usa.com/4208.html If you have any addittional question, please feel free to contact me. Thanks, Mike
