I left a DVD in the player overnight and now I can't get it out.
Whenever I try to open the tray the word 'LOCKED' appears on the dvd screen. Everything else works - I can still play it if I want to - but I can't remove it, either with the remote or the controls on the dvd itself.
any ideas?

If the Sony DVP-NS77H DVD player displays "TRAY LOCKED" and you can't
eject a disc or open the tray, try the following - First turn the unit
off. Then, while holding down the eject, play and stop buttons
simultaneously (on the front of the DVD player), turn the unit on with
the '/O button (also on the front of the player). This released the
locked tray for me.
had the same prob with a sony dav dz it kept saying locked but after hours and hours of pressing random combinations it came off im sure it was unplug plugback in then hold power and open tray and tap stop or a combination of those buttons.i woud try it again on mine to make sure but i do not want to lock it again.
