When I go to MY COMPUTER, i click on the sansa c250 pic...
after that i get the screen that has a folder named SYSTEM, VERSION.SDK, and a notepad named VERSION...I click on the SYSTEM folder because I cant put Mp3s into the other ones...
Then A screen comes up with 3 folders - DATA, MTPCONTENT,WMDRMPD -
+( DATA - all PDB files - ALBUM, ALBUMART, ARTIST, GENRE, OBJECT, and REFS)
+( MTPCONTENT - FOLDER "0" - FOLDER "0" - folders 0-9 and "A" - all of which has media pler content some music and some i cannot play)
+( WMDRMPD - STORE.HDS)
I tried putting my files into the MTPCONTENT - 0 - 0 - folders 0-9 and "A" none of which even showed up on my sansa... I havent tried putting them into the other folders but i highly doubt that its going to work...im starting to think if theres a program to open the PDB files and then inserting the music there...

Re:
I usually copy all my stuff to the root directory (the one that comes right after you clicked on the sansa icon in MY COMPUTER).
If it still doesn't work maybe your USB port is damaged try the other one.
Another option which I always recommend is to format the sansa by right clicking on its icon on MY COMPUTER and choosing Format.
Let me know if it helped.

I read through the issue.. Before you connect the device into the computer did u checked in which mode the device is in.. Is it in Autodetect or MTP or MSC..
You could format your player and start over? Right click in C250/internal memory and format? Should bring you back to fresh player with no songs or pics.
first click here to download the drivers you need for it...then open up windows media player....it will recognize the device....then click sync and you have music....if you hit any snags just comment this post
Step 1: open up your sansa folder Step 2: In your player folder click tools --> folder options --> View. Step 3: Under hidden files and folders click 'show hidden files and folders, click ok. Step 4: The folder would now show up.
Am not sure which of the 2 actions we did solved the problem...but we installed the CD that came with it (my daughter has a Sansa C260 and her CD was already installed in the computer and we thought I didn't have to install mine). But we resorted on installing mine too in case it would help with the problem, and then we re-loaded all the songs into my Sansa C250 at a slower pace, although I really don't know if the quicker pace did cause the problem. But now my Sansa C250 is now able to record any song correctly.
Open "My computer", then "Sansa c250 (E:)", find properties to show hidden files and a "Music" file (which is hidden) will appear. You can erase music directly from there.
Open device manager under the Control Panel to view hardware and devices. There should be a tab under portable devices that recognizes the Sansa c250. If their is a yellow exclamation point, then most likely the device has stopped working. Right click on it, and uninstall the device. Unplug your Sansa, wait a couple seconds, then plug it back in. Let it do its thing. If this does not solve your problem, then you should deffinately call the manufacturer.
You dont need the CD for anything.
You can connect it to your computer and the device will show up under My Computer.
Just open it, drag and drop files into the MUSIC folder.
Best of Luck.
