I think I have a disk stuck in the player I can not get the door to open and it makes a high pitch squeek when trying to open or change disk. Is there a way to get the disk unstuck?
had the same problem...unplugged the unit and plugged it back in a few hours later and it worked fine until last night when I tried to put another dvd in and now the tray is stuck in the open position!!!

Re:
You can attempt to open the unit and see if there is a disk stuck in the unit. Typically there will be 2 screws on each side and a couple on the rear holding the top on the unit.
MAKE SURE YOU UNPLUG IT BEFORE YOU BEGIN!!!

Try to run the wiper motor with the wiper arms removed and thnnotice if it is still squeeking. If it is thn you will have to lubricate the wiper shafts especially where the wiper arm fits.
Hope this helps!
a shorted horizontal output transistor will make a funny squeek or chirp noise when turning on the tv. Usually mounts on a metal dissipator near the bulky plastic part with the red thick wire coming out of it.good luck!
Again RCA stereos **** for this factor, cheap transformers, replace the transformer and see if that helps as it seems to be the most problem with most RCA systems I've repaired in the past.
Hi, There are usually 1 or 2 fans inside the TV's. Could be worn bearings, or fan blade interference. Sorry, without my electric ear working, I can only guess.
