My Bosch dishwasher door latch is stuck in the locked position--anybody know how to reset it?

Happened to me as well. Pull the latch (looks like an upside down house) towards you and it will click back into position. Needs a bit of force but it should do the trick!

Kitchenaid dishwasher KUDS30IXBL door locked open, will not close

There should be a type of hook inside the hole where the door latches to the machine. Hold the handle up and rotate the hook latch so the open side is pointing towards the machine. The click you heard was the latch that holds the door closed moving to the closed position when the door was open, and it needs to be in the release position.

My GE dishwasher's door is stuck shut ~ I'm assuming a broken latch. I was told to fix the latch, the dishwasher has to be taken out from under the counter top (in order to get the door open). My...

Well I'll try to help you get this opened. I don't know how much space you have at the top side edge of the dishwasher. You need a long stiff rod like a metal clothes hanger straightened so it can reach from the side to a little past the dishwasher middle. You need to push it in between the door top and the dishwasher body up at the latch area. What holds the door closed is a flat metal piece with a plastic hook on the end facing down towards the floor. You need to try and get the rod under the metal piece and lift it slightly, hopefully to unhook the the door. If you can't do that, the only alternative is to pull hard on the door handle and you should be able to break the plastic part of the latch which will then have to be replaced. The part that should break is the top hook which would be an easy replacement, but I can't be sure thats all the damage to the latch that will happen. It may do some damage to the part inside the door also. This is last resort. I'll try to attach a parts breakdown of the tub so you can see the latch hook. Look at item #50

Kenmore dishwasher clean light blinks

The computer needs to be reset. you may need to check the tech sheet that should have come with the dishwasher ( usually behind the toe panel) for directions on reseting it. If you cannot find the reset directions, let me know, I will have to look it up. thank you.

Asko dishwasher starts and immediatly stops

Hi mike, thanks for the clarification. Having this info, I am not sure this model is as the post indicates - "1595". Is it possibly a 1473 or 1474 model with a power button by the door handle ? If so, that is the most common problem with that style Asko. The contacts inside the button make momentary contact & then stop which requires replacing tge switch. Let me know if it is indeed one of these models or confirm what model number it is ok ? Thanks, Macmarkus

I would like o know how to reset the dishwasher ,

Hi Brenda. Sor[ry to hear about your troubles. If I was nearby I would come over and help you in person.

Read the reasons why your dishwasher may not be working and check as many as you can safely. Get back and let me know what you find. I will work with you as long as necessary to get this resolved.

If your dishwasher doesn't work at all, check these:

Power from the house
Door switch
Wiring
Timer or selector switch
Power from the house Is there power getting to the dishwasher? This can be difficult to test, because dishwashers are usually wired directly to an electrical circuit, rather than plugged into the wall. But at least check for a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker.

Door switch The door switch is important because, if it's defective, the dishwasher won't work at all. To reach it, you need to remove the control panel cover, or sometimes the interior liner of the door. If it's defective, you need to completely replace it.

Wiring Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dishwasher, burns and breaks the connection. If that's the problem, the wires must be repaired/replaced as necessary. If that's not the problem, check the wiring to the door switch, the wiring between the door and the lower part of the dishwasher, and the wiring to the timer. Repair any broken, burned, brittle, or defective wiring, using the proper appliance-grade wire and connectors.

Timer or selector switch Although it's uncommon, the timer or the selector switch may be defective. If so, you need to replace the defective part, because neither of these can be repaired.

Re-Set the control panel

if you are getting blinking lights on your console you may want to open up the door and visually look inside of the middle portion of your console and you'll observe an opening. this opening is where the latch and strike comes together to enaged power to the power board. you can take a butter knife and press the latch hooks downward. when you press the latch hooks(located on the latch then look at the front side of your console panel (at the same while holding the butter knife inside the latch keeping the latch hooks press down, press a wash cycle (normal, rinse, potspans, etc) and see if there is any more flashing. If not, then there is a bad connection with the latch.
