The majority of laptop keyboards are attached in a similar fashion.

Replacement typically involves removing a bezel gently so as not to break it, depressing three small tabs that hold the keyboard in place and then disconnecting the ribbon cable underneath the keyboard.

Laptop won't start after installing new keyboard

Check the screws. One of them may be too long and is shorting out the laptop. If they are all the same length, I would remove them all and try it. Then install them one at a time to find out which one makes it work or, not work.

I am installing a new mouse and keyboard combo should I delete old drivers from provious Logitech product i had installed

For a Windows platform PC, the generic Keyboard/mouse drivers are provided by Microsoft, you don't have to remove these drivers.

If you are using the software for the Keyboard/mouse the devices, you can remove these software, and install the new software for your new Keyboard/mouse combo set.

Hope it helps.

GAteway wireless keyboard

is your battery brand new? install a new one, if the problem exist, try to unplug and plug again the usb keyboard receiver, if the problem goes again, you need to contact your keyboard's manufacturer since it is a newly bought, it is still under a warranty. so you must contact them, to have your keyboard replace by a working one

Good luck, Godbless

Corrupt keyboard drivers

Generally, if you are using a corded keyboard, it should automatically get recognized and the built in Windows drivers should work.

If you are getting a wireless keyboard, make sure you have the latest driver/software and have that installed.
