INCLUDING THE BOTTOM/ LOWER "PROPELLER" LIKE ARM THAT SPINS TO DISPENSE WATER (IT WAS MELTED ON BOTH ENDS). I DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. I DO KNOW THAT THERE WERE A COUPLE OF CUPS THAT WERE NOT DISHWASHER SAFE THAT WERE INCLUDED AND THESE MELTED TOO- THE WEIRD THING ABOUT IT IS THAT, WHY DID THAT PROPELLER LIKE THING MELTEDON BOTH ENDS. PLEASE ADVISE. THE MODEL IS FRIGIDAIRE ULTRA QUIET III. PLEASE ADVISE IF THIS IS FIXABLE AND WHAT THAT LOWER PROPELLER ARM IS ACTUALLY CALLED. THIS IS A BRAND NEW DISHWASHER, WE RARELY USED IT. THE OLD HOUSE OWNER DIDNT LEAVE THE MANUAL.

Amsanta, sounds like something got hung up on the heating element, stopped the lower spray arm and things started to melt. The lower spray arm, part number, 154414101 is easy to change out. There is also a lower spray arm support 154294101, don't know if you will need that. I believe on your model the lower spray arm just snaps on. There is a tab on the filter screen that will rotate to unlock and the filter screen will lift out. Now the lower spray arm support is accessable. If it's less than a year old, you may be able to get it fixed under warranty. Catriver.

We have the same problem one morning we got up and everything was melted even the sprayer arms. we had an extended warranty they're going to replace the control board and the melted parts. it also warped the tub.
when you say you woke to water draining i assume the pump was activated if so you water valve is not shutting completely causing your dishwasher to gradually over fill this will cause your water level switch to activate the overfill stage and bring in your water pump have a close look and if this is the case replace water valve hope this helps let me know how you go
An ERR 2 may be cleared by a simple reset of the coffee maker. This means unplugging the unit and plugging it back in. When powered back on, select a brew function to see if the error reappears.
If it does, ERR 2 indicates an internal error with the computer of the warming plate. This may be covered under Kitchenaid's 1 Year Hassle Free Warranty. I would advise you to call Kitchenaid Customer Service to see what options are available to you. Repair is not recommended, as it is not cost effective for the company or the consumer.

Thank you, have a nice day.
After you turn off the power to your dishwasher, you can inspect the dishwasher with a flashlight to find where the melting happened. If it is near the circle that is the heating element, you can suspect the timer froze during the drying cycle.
But also open things up and look for shorted/melted wires (in the door panel and under the dishwasher.)
No matter what you find, if you have proof of purchase for your dishwasher, I would press for repair/replacement from the manufacturer.
