Question about Frigidaire 24 in. FDB1050REC Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher
THANKS SO MUCH FOR READING THIS POST. I RARELY USE THE DISHWASHER. MAKE THE LONG STORY SHORT, WOKE UP THIS MORNING AND WE FOUND A COUPLE OF ITEMS IN THE DISHWASHER- MELTED. INCLUDING THE BOTTOM/ LOWER "PROPELLER" LIKE ARM THAT SPINS TO DISPENSE WATER (IT WAS MELTED ON BOTH ENDS). I DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. I DO KNOW THAT THERE WERE A COUPLE OF CUPS THAT WERE NOT DISHWASHER SAFE THAT WERE INCLUDED AND THESE MELTED TOO- THE WEIRD THING ABOUT IT IS THAT, WHY DID THAT PROPELLER LIKE THING MELTEDON BOTH ENDS. PLEASE ADVISE. THE MODEL IS FRIGIDAIRE ULTRA QUIET III. PLEASE ADVISE IF THIS IS FIXABLE AND WHAT THAT LOWER PROPELLER ARM IS ACTUALLY CALLED. THIS IS A BRAND NEW DISHWASHER, WE RARELY USED IT. THE OLD HOUSE OWNER DIDNT LEAVE THE MANUAL. THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE.
Amsanta, sounds like something got hung up on the heating element, stopped the lower spray arm and things started to melt. The lower spray arm, part number, 154414101 is easy to change out. There is also a lower spray arm support 154294101, don't know if you will need that. I believe on your model the lower spray arm just snaps on. There is a tab on the filter screen that will rotate to unlock and the filter screen will lift out. Now the lower spray arm support is accessable. If it's less than a year old, you may be able to get it fixed under warranty. Catriver.
