Question about Memorex MMP8565 MP3 Player
Ok i was adding songs to my mp3 player they went on fine but then, out of no where it just turned off and will not turn back on. I've tried just plugging it back in and seeing if it would turn on by being plugged in the computer but nothing i need help asap please.
All you have to do is stick a small needle in the small hole in the top of the player. Wiggle the needle around and it will turn on by itself. I just recently figured it out. This problem happens alot.

I had the same problem here is what I had to do: Go to http://www.memorexelectronics.com/html/downloads.php Download the firmware and then follow the instructions in your manual on page 32. If you no longer have the manual here are the instructions: UPDATING THE FIRMWARE WARNING! Do not update the firmware unless you are experiencing problems with your digital audio device. Incorrect or faulty firmware installation will cause the player to stop functioning. 1. Download the updated firmware at www.memorexelectronics.com. (The link I gave will go straight to the download page) 2. Unzip the file, then double click setup.exe in the Desktop folder to install the software to your computer. 3. Connect the player to the computer using the supplied USB cable and the installation screen will appear. (If the installation screen does not appear, unplug the USB cable and turn off the unit). Connect to the computer again and press and hold the Power On/Off/Stop button until the installation screen appears. 4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver. 5. When finished, click START and locate the newly installed software ?Deco? and select ?Firmware Download?. Now in number 3 I could not get the installation screen to appear so what I had to do was go into the "Deco" and manually select "Firmware download" BEFORE I Installed the driver. This basically completely erased everything from the player to the extent that Windows did not recognize the player. So I had to use the "New Hardware Detected" icon in the Windows start menu to install the player. Hopefully yours will work properly and you wont have to go through all that. But anyways good luck hope this helps
