Question about Panasonic Palmcorder PV-DV53 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
I need a driver to import my videos from my panasonic mini palmcorder PV-DV51D to the computer. The computer cannot find my video device. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
hai, If you are service engineer you can do this problem, Please, check the cassette IN sensing Switch. The place of the Switch is right side of the mechanism, Clean S/w with IPA solution & check. It will be ok or other wise you have replace s/w or mechanism.

You shouldn't. The PV-DV203 means it is one of Panasonic's MiniDV, digital cancorders. You should only need the cable(s) supplied with the camera, and either a FireWire or USB port available on your computer. Windows Movie Maker should be able to download the video and allow you to edit it.

What u need at the minimum is an addon card for downloading(refer to the manual for the exact No. it is something like IEEE1395 or so) Then connect the cam to this thro' the cable.
If u use windows xp u have a movie maker. u can use that s/w. Else try to get pinnacle studio or studio 8 to dump and edit etc.
all the best.

Most likely the power circuitry is this ole girl has bit the dust.
The same thing happened to my PV-42 6 years ago.
You've done very well getting 17 years of service from her.
Time to put her on the memorial shelf.
