Before I spend a fortune on a repair. Is anyone familiar with what causes this TV to independently turn itself Off and then On again in rapid succession. I've tried going into the set-up area but that too will turn off the tv which will then turn itself On again and Off again etc.....
Thanks
Tina

the 3 blinks is caused by convergence failure indicating the Convergence ICs and resistors need replacement. You can get the convergence repair kit for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com the kit contains the ICs and resistors and also has the CD that shows how to do the repair.
Hi sometimes things aren't so bad, if you can't solve your remote issue I'm sure the universal ones would work. Like me you can spend ages looking & trying to find out when it's just simple to replace it. Could check retailers that have repo's & see if there is one in their bundle. Good luck
This set has a common problem with th main fuse opening for no other apparent reason... One of the few exceptions to my corner-stone statement that a fuse is never the cause only a symptom..
Don't replace it though with the same type grade, use a 6.3a slo-blow gma type - available at Radio Shack... Try that and if everything works you're back in business.. If not we nee to find a cause...

We had a TV repairman look at our 3 year old (Oct 2004) Panasonic CT-32HXC14J FLAT SCREEN TV. It suddenly stopped working and appeared to have no power getting to it. It was a high voltage supply or transformer that was bad and has to be replaced - estimated cost is around $400. In a year we will also need to spend around $125 for a digital converter box. We went for the repair since that is still cheaper than a $1,000 plus equivalent size LCD or plasma.
Our old tube tv was still working after 15+ years. They aren't making them like they used to. Way to go Panasonic.
I'm looking for the same info... my CT-32sx12f is completely dead too. I was wondering if the IC regulator or the flyback is bad. Fuse is fine.
Anyone have any wisdom or experience on these sets they can interject?
Thanks!
You have a short in your unit somewhere or a high voltage problem. The most common problem would be a high voltage failure. If you are not familiar with televisions and their safety this is best left to a repair shop. There is not much in a TV that consumers, unfamiliar with the system, can check. The problem should not cost too much to fix. Check for a shop which has a free estimate or low estimate which will be subtracted from the cost of the repair if you choose to have the unit repaired there. Good luck.
