Don't worry, it's more possible that you have the static electricity and through your stereo this electricity goes to the ground. Try touching another metalic surfasce (refrigirator, oven etc), try to change your shoes (especialy if your stereo is on a carpet floor and you walk on it) Sometimes when we are very nervous the static electricity on our body is higher. So keep calm.
power supply problem.
you mean, stand by ok.not power up right.?
ok it can be happen something wrong with its power supply ,standby circuit, system control cct problem,
or loose connection on the printed board and loose connection on the connector in the pcb can happen.
some times it can be the power on off switch.
anyway open the cower and clean it with compressed air or clean it with small brush then
try to turn on again and please comeback with result.
Check the solder connections on the seven voltage regulators found in the center of the receiver on the heat sink from front to back (not the amp board) they are on the main board. The green light on the DSP board (back right side) is an error light. You can reset the receiver by pushing power then stadium then night then dsp off then club after unplugging the receiver and plugging it back in.
hook up the antenna at the back and try to tune-in to your favorite radio station.
read the description at the back of your rca rt2250, how to connect your antenna.
connect it properly and raise up the antenna, put it where the signal is good.
Mine will always just turn off every minute or so after a hard shut down(ex: power outtage). I have to turn it back on and then hold the set button for a few seconds, then it stays on, until i turn it off manually, since the remote won't turn it off.
I have the same problem... I read that it can be a capacitor issue, they are on backwards. I just dropped mine off with the repair guy today... Does anyone know of a fix? Mine first had an electrical zap, then smoked, now CHCK SPEAKERS then off, and on standby...
