Re: WMA30 Front loader
CHECK YOUR DRUM BELT FOR CRACKS AND SIGNS OF WEAR BY TURNING TRHE BELT INSIDE OUT AND SLOWLY TURNING IT TO FIND CRACKS. THE BELT TENSION ADJUSTMENT PULLY MAYBE CRACKED OR WORN AS WELL.

Re: WMA30 Front loader
Wma series are notorious for bearing failure and if i recall correctly, the only part available to repair is replacement of tub and drum assembly. if the banging is violent mit is likely that the drum bearing spider has cracked. check dampers as suggested above and if these are ok, then junk the machine

Re: WMA30 Front loader
Im not suggesting this is your fault, but its worth looking at, as it cured mine, if you remove the back cover and look around the drum area and you should see small shockabsorber like struts from the drum casing to the washer body, these can become lose or even damaged, so check that the nuts havent come lose, as even half a turn will stop the vibration and banging, but while the back is off you can atleast run the machine and see for yourself the possible cause, if it's not that, apologies and i'l leave it to the specialists on washing machines.

When a machine gets old it is always normal for the vibration and banging to occur, then, after the vibration it settled down smoothly.this is due to worn fan belt .bearings worn out and the preasure on the spindle.so dont get alarm .but you will soon have to replace the washer as the banging and the vibration will get worse eventually.or change the fan belt.and replace bearings.which can be done by a qualified personel.good luck.

your main bearing is failing. this is a mayor repair issue. you need to call a repair expert. the bearing are molded at factory and require special tools to install. if you try driving them in by hammering you will damage them or wont last 3 to 6 month. depending on how old and how much you paid for the washer you may consider replacing it.
I have had this problem with two of my previous washers a top loader and front loader. Each time it was a faulty pump that drains the water from the tub after the wash cycle is complete. If the water does not drain from the tub the machine will not go to the spin cycle. Both of my washers were 5 or 6 years old when this occurred. If the washer is only 5 months old it should be under the manufactures warranty. Good Luck.
There are 2 shock absorbers/springs attached to the drum. If one of them breaks it will cause a loud banging noise when you wash heavy loads. This is an easy fix. The part is about $22.00 and it is accessed throught the front bottom panel.
most front loaders are balanced by a large: ready for this: cement block inside at the top of your machine and because spin is so fast it can sometimes hit inside your machine or it has brokin a peice off ,sorry but yours going to have to get the repair person out.adrian
More than likely it did not get reinstalled right after the move. All four of the leveling legs must be firmly touching the floor. If one is even the thickness of a piece of paper off the floor it will start to rock during spin and the problem just amplifies itself. Make sure it's perfectly level and that all the feet are firmly on the floor.
Is it a maytag? My maytag front load washing machine had 2 long bolts with plastic braces on them, to keep the drum still during shipping. Mine would bang and shake all over. I got the book out before I finally figured it out. I had to take the back cover off and remove the bolts and plastic braces over them. They look like they' 8 inches long or so. It works great now.
