SOURCE: Computer is very slow.

McAfee virus software is a memory hog. You need to add more memory to your pc. It uses pc3200 memory. This computer has a memory capacity of 4gigabytes. The memory slots are numbered this way......starting from the memory slot closest to the processor>
one, three, two, four. 1 and 2 work together, 3 and 4 work together. So if you buy just 2 gigabytes......put them in 1 and 2. This will help. Sounds like the virus software is doing a full system scan....you could do a "quick"scan and do a "full" scan once a week....

My commputer is very slow could you help me speed it up?When opening a program it takes 10-15 mins gpr a program to open.

You probably have a number of viruses on your computer. My suggestion is to download these two programs and uninstall your current anti-virus software (if any).

AVG Free:

http://free.avg.com/us-en/homepage

AVG is a great anti-virus program that will always be running and protecting you.

Maleware Bytes:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/

You will want to run this free program as soon as you download it. It will remove any viruses on your computer. This is a great tool to use about once a month to make sure your computer is clean. Do a full scan and wait for it to complete. If you have completed the steps above and still have the problem, you will need more RAM. RAM is temporary memory that your computer uses when it is on. If you have very low RAM, then you will have a very slow computer.

When I open youtube it is displaying that 'an error occured please try again later'. please help me.

YouTube freeze can happen due to many reasons. Major reasons are overload on website, simultaneous running of many programs on your computer, Low RAM, Slow internet connection or corrupt windows registry.

For smooth watching of YouTube Videos take following actions:
1. Watch videos at off peak times, if possible

2. Do not run other programs while watching videos. They slow down computer in general by making use of memory.

3. Add RAM on your computer. More RAM will make easy execution of heavy programs on your system.

4. Get better and speedy internet connection. Talk to your ISP in this regard.

5. Regularly clean windows registry. Windows registry is vital place that stores information for important computing functions. A congested or corrupted windows registry makes computer slow that causes YouTube like freezes. For this, get the best registry cleaner reginout and optimizer. Use it once in a fortnight for fast computing to avoid YouTube freezes and system slow down.

My computer too slow always get the not responding reply.

Eliminate Viruses and Spyware
Step 1

Run your antivirus program. There may be something slowing your computer that you can remove. It is a good idea to run your antivirus program every week.
Step 2

Remove spyware. Run a good spyware tool at least twice a month.
Step 3

Use a pop-up blocker, if you have one. Check your antivirus program.

Dispose of the Extras

Step 1

Delete your document files for anything you no longer need. Saved pictures, audio and video files in particular can slow your computer.

Step 2

Remove unwanted programs from the Control Panel area. Old toolbars or games the kids downloaded off the Internet are a good place to start. Look for software you no longer use, such as the old printer you threw out last year.

Step 3

Clean out your email. Old messages are a constant drain on your computer's resources. Go through every folder, deleting everything you do not need. Leave no mail! Finish by emptying the Deleted Items folder.

Step 4

Turn off unnecessary programs. Check your taskbar for icons that show running programs. Disable anything you are not currently using.

Run Maintenance

Step 1

Run the Disk Cleanup tool located in your Control Panel. (Windows only. For other operating systems, please check the Resources section below.) This will remove temporary files, cookies and unnecessary components to speed up your computer.

Step 2

Defragment your computer. Defragging takes some time, but will speed your computer significantly. You can find the tool in your Control Panel. Run it monthly.

Step 3

Check for disk errors. Sometimes corrupted files slow down your computer. To find and fix these files, Go to My Computer and right-click on C drive. Choose Properties, then Tools.

Having freeze up and very slow loading of programs

I have EXACT same computer. Are you running WIN 7? It works great! Have you cleared out the temp folder? users/(your name)/appdata/local/temp. Empty as much as you can in this folder. Its only a temp folder. How about clearing the browser cache? Have you run disk defragmenter? Theres alot you can do. Clean out the cookies. INSTALL more MEMORY. I have 4GB RAM in mine. Open the box and Clean it with pressurized air. BLOW out that dust! It holds in the heat, which defeats the heat sinks sole purpose! Hope this helps.

My laptop freezes after start up. I start the computer and it runs normal until right after log in. I have roughly 30 seconds to 1 minute after logging in before the fan turns on and the laptop starts...

when was the last time your computer worked fine? run system restore and choose a restore point prior to when the issue started. if no restore point is available, open run and enter 'msconfig', go to startup and disable unecessary startup programs. also open the prefetch folder and delete its contents. then restart your system. if it's still slow, i suggest you backup your files and reinstall windows. make sure that you operate the laptop on a flat surface to avoid any ventilation blockage. hope it'll help. good day. =)'

My computer is very slow

on your desktop click on START, then click on RUN, a small windows will open. Type in (msconfig) without the parenthesis., this will open the system configuration windows and make sure (Normal startup is selected) then click on the (STARTUP) tab, click on disable all and then click on APPLY and then OK. a message windows will appear to restart your computer, click on DO NOT RESTART NOW buttom. this will disable programs that start with windows when you turn on your computer to make your computer start faster.

Use this link to learn how to speed up your computer:
http://www.microsoft.com/AtWork/getstarted/speed.mspx
I also recommend using an anti-virus software like (Kaspersky, Norton, Trend Micro or McAfee) internet security software to scan and protect your PC.

You can also download and install Glary Utilities from this website:
http://www.glarysoft.com/

also Run Microsoft Update to download new drivers and software updates to make sure your pc has enough resources to run programs.

My advice is do not run too many programs at the same time, this may cause your system to freeze and become unresponsive.

Comment back if this doesn't help and lets go deep into making your computer faster like running SYSTEM RESTORE, UPGRADING MEMORY, etc.
Good Luck.
