Question about Smeg A42C-5 Electric Kitchen Range
Got an issue with the bottom left cooking zone. Turning the knob past max and releasing doesn't work, the outer zone simply doesn't light up. (The inner circle also seems to be weak and not heat to maximum). The other zones all works fine, this one used to do just great up to a few weeks ago. Any suggestions appreciated.

problem with hob is probably water ingress in area of ignition unit - will probably cure itself oven is a completely separate unit from hob. problem with it is that you have to re-set the clock - you have it on automatic. after power outage, oven clock always has to be reset

The fan element (round) is more than likely blown. Open the oven door, take the rear cover off inside the oven (covers the element) and have a look at the element with a torch. If it is buckled, warped or has a blow hole in it, then it's faulty.
