Kenmore HE 3t started leaking from the side when filling

I have had my HE 3t for 3 years without incident, today while washing it made a strange noise, then finished the cycle. After another load I noticed the throw rug in front of the machine was wet. Figured I had overloaded it as this has happened before, but it continued even on a very small load. The water is coming from the left hand side during filling, doesn't seem to do it when spinning.
Thanks in advance for your help.

A technician once told me to run my Kenmore Elite 3t ( without clothing ) with some bleach to clean the machine on the inside. I do not have a "clean machine" cycle. However I don't remember how much...

Hello , pour the bleach into where the soap would go [about 2 cups], then fill your softner and bleach containers up as well , run a normal wash with an extra rinse , the bleach will not hurt it so the more the better but to a certain point. this should fix alot of the noticible mildew but to get it all use a brush and scrub with bleach.

I have a kenmore elite 3t that fills with water when not in use

sounds like you have a bad fill valve it should only let water into the machine when the fill valve is energized. If water is coming in when unit is not in use change the valve.

3 audible beeps every 20-25 seconds

Try unplugging the washer for about 20 minutes then plug back in and use. I have found that this actually works! The only thing I can figure out is that it takes time for the electronic control to clear. If that doesn't fix the problem I would call sears tech since it is less than a year old. They have a 1-2 year warranty.

Leak

Did it start to leak immediately? Or, did it start to leak as it filled about 1/3 of the way? You could have a loose air dome hose. This is the air hose that connects to the pressure switch. One end is connected to the switch and the other end is connected somewhere on the side of the wash tub near the bottom. If it came loose, this will cause a sudden leak. Check along the side of the wash tub (usually the right hand side on Kenmore) and see if the air hose is hanging free. If it is, reconnect it and your problem should be solved. Sometimes the hose will stretch over time and will not fit tightly anymore. There should be enough slack that will allow you to cut about 1/2" off the end and reattach. This will give you a more snug fit. This is about as inexpensive a fix that you can get.
