Your best bet would be to take it to an authorized Panasonic repair shop; find out how much the repair would cost, and weigh that against the cost of a new(er) TV.

No picture or sound on a Panasonic plasma tv tc-p50st30? Replaced power board and still same problem. The power light comes on and stays on. No blinking.

Try to unplug the TV for about 20 minutes and then press and hold power button on the TV for about 10 seconds to reset your television and plug TV back in and see if that resolves the issue.If they problem still is showing up then the screen is broken and the back light is not working anymore and needs to be replaced.

Tc-p50u50 cracked screen

It is not worth it to replace the screen. I found that everyone recommends scrapping tv or finding another broken tv and using that screen.

It will cost you moe than a new TV by the time you purchase the used screen plus shipping plus labor. You need to get the exact model number of the LCD panel as printed on the sticker on the back of the LCD panel. 37" is about $200 for used imperfected screen.

Do you mean broken or just dark, if broken or damaged then it will be costly, just as much as a new tv, if you can even get the screen.

I'm sorry to say that once the screen is broken due to those accidents, there is no way to fix the screen. Is time to buy another TV at this point because the screen repair it could even be more expensive then the new TV.

My broken screen

You can have them repaired using a TV Repair guy but often it costs as much as a brand new tv. My daughter broke my $1,600 LCD. It would have cost $1,200 to fix.. so I just bought a new one.After that I picked up a TV screen protector called TV Armor http://www.tv-armor.com Its designed to protect the TV from damage. Now I dont have to worry anymore when she is playing near it. It works really well.

It can but, it's about 75% the cost of a new tv and it isn't just a pop it in type of repair. It it quite exacting. Getting just a new screen is a challenge in itself.

Yes the panel can be replaced.
The part number is: L5EDD8Q00002 and costs: $2386.70 with a refund of $250 once the damaged panel is returned. This information was obtained from tritronicsinc.com (a Panasonic parts distributor).

Hope this helps with the decision.
