I found instructions with pictures on fixing this problem online at
http://www.freewebs.com/ltooz/03jvcgrd70u.htm
The process involves taking the camera apart.
Other forums I have looked at have mentioned waiting the error out or allowing the camera to air out.

2006 GMC Denali truck starts fine. about 5 minutes in I get weird dashlights and then all lights out and needles go left

That's 1 of the years that the instrument clusters after a period of time need replacing. There wasn't a recall but there should have been.

Error code

Hi,

I believe this means that there is condensation in the tape mechanism.

Condensation please wait, and does not recoed, open tape door, and does not want to shut, will not record while this is happening, and there is no condensation in the camcorder

I purchased this camcorder used with the condesation error, it arrived in the mail yesterday, I researched the fix and without loosing any screws got it fixed. Here is what I did.

I plugged in the power cord, turned it to auto with the display screen open, the condensation error was blinking, I left it on for about 30 mins to one hour {didn't keep a tab as I was watching my favorite Tv show.} When I checked back the "condensation" error was gone.I then placed it on "off /charge" to charge the battery.

This is the next day and it hasn't return. It is almost unbelievable, the previous owner sold it just because of the error and I hardly did anything much to fix it. I am so happy.

Garmin 305 wont power on, wont charge on cradle

Same thing happened to mine. Put the unit in the cradle (just like you are going to recharge it) and press the reset and mode button at the same time for 3 seconds. This will "wake" the unit up.

Eject tape compartment and let it open, remove battery and blow hot air by hair-dryer from 8 inch distance for 8-10 minutes and attach battery and check camera works fine?

Condensation operation paused

Give it a good wack. .. . with a wooden kitchen spoon.. try hitting the bottom of the camera or where the battery is attached - this will fix the problem. Believe it or not! Now don't brake the camera. .
it will get rid of the problem. Just a good wack. Believe it . . or Not. (make sure power is off and make sure there is no charge left on the battery if you are going to hit it in the battery.

Condensation operation

follow the manuals instructions for this, ergo: leave the tape hatch open for at least 30 minutes to an hour, and try again. If this doesn't work. Call canon, and see if they can repair or replace your XL2

Sony DCR-HC40 Battery Charging Problem Hi Mates - I did purchase a Sony DCR-HC40 camcorder around an year back and it was working superb till few days back. As of date, i am facing a problem where...

Had the same thing happen to me. Went out and bought a new battery and it, too, does not charge. Apparently something messed up with the in-camera charging system. It will charge for several minutes (charge light illuminated) and then the charge light goes dark. Battery gage shows that there is virtually no time left on either battery (old or new). Anyone have any ideas other than a trip back to Sony?
