u must change the burner software to any other.

sounds like you need to reinstall the drivers for this device if it came with a disk you can reinstall from there

I guess not as easy as recognizing a blank brain, could you recognize an image on a blank piece of paper?

YUP ... that is a real problem right now. You may either try to find a Windows 7 driver or try to run it in XP Compatibility mode (in the driver's settings) or the worst cenario is you wont get it to work in windows 7

Did you try a DVD firmware update? Some dvds need new firmware to reconize some DVDs

Yes does not read DVD-R because if your LS50 Labeled like this (DVD/CD-RW) means that can read only all DVD Disc and cannot write on DVD blank only CD blank.


You can burn only on the blank CD-RW or any blank CD.
