My ILO turns on by remote or pressing the buttons but I cannot turn the volume up or down and cant change the source neither the remote or buttons on TV work. It is also saying that there is no source (even though Cable TV is up an running fine on other TV's)?
What should I do?
It sounds like you have the problem many of us have faced and I am not aware of anyone actually getting one of these things fixed.
suggest you P)USH real hard, ANY WAY YOU CAN for an exchange.
there are two parts to the control circuits in these tvs [ilo] one part deals with the on/off and the other, much more complicated and I think not well engineered, deals with all other aspects of control- including vol, chan changing, SIGNAL SOURCE SELECTION, and on and on.
If you can get it fixed- me-thinks it'll be a first. .....pull EVERY trick in the book to get an exchange.

channel down button to AUTO STORE
press the volume button to Start the scan.
right now you have your telly tuned in. What you could do it get an old sky remote off a friend/ neighbour. or buy from argos etc ( a lot cheaper then getting a replacement samsung one)
press the following buttons on the sky remote to program it to work with your samsung tv.
TV,
RED + SELECT
TV.
0060
try the volume if this works press SELECT to save this code if it doesnt press Tv then try the volume again. repeat this step until the volume works your telly. once it doest dont forget to press the SELECT button to save.
Now you will be able to change your volume use the number keys. if you also press the HELP button on the sky remote this will also change your AV / SOURCE I hope this post helps you out. When it does please leave a thumbs up for me Please
Try the setup program. When you get to the main setup screen, look for a reset all to standard setting. That may solve the problem. If it doesn't then the sound module may need to be replaced inside the TV.
I Believe You Can Go To Channel 2 And Right Below Those Channels Are The 3 Video Channels Turn On Your Dvd Player And Go Through Them. If That Doesn't Work Try Looking At The Buttons On Your Tv For A Tv Video. Make Sure You Dont Have A Tv Video Button On Your Remote If You Do Then Just Click It Till You Find The Appropriate Video Channel.
Yes, Walmart sells ILO, I would not buy that brand. Anyway I am not familiar with the model of the tv, but it should have buttons on the front bottom or right side of the tv so you can change the source and change the volume. So my questions, does anything on the remote work? Do the buttons on the tv work? The DirectTV should not be interfering. It was working fine, correct?
Check if the remote is in TV position, that is, because most of the remote controllers have the feature that you can program them for use with another devices. Make shure that one button that says "TV" in pressed and released once before you try to change any function on the TV.
Do the controls on the tv itself work or just the remote? If it's the remote mabey it's defective. I would look on the Ilo site and see if they recommend a universal remote for their models ( or just getting yours replaced ). If the problem is within the tv, I'd look into the warranty. Sorry if this wasn't any help.
