My BT Headset tends to be charged but not to operate once I take it out of the charger. Indicator light remains off even when power switch is on. When in charge and I press oth volume buttons at the same time, I do get a blinking purple light on the indicator. Any hint that could help will be very much appreciated. I did charge it overnight. Thanks

SOURCE: purple light

The purple (majenta) light usually means it is in pairing mode. Is it possible that the button is stuck pressed in??

PUT HEADSET IN PAIRING MODE

1. Ensure the headset is turned off (indicator light not blinking and headset boom is closed)
2. Press and hold the Call button. After about 4 or 5 seconds, the indicator light becomes steadily lit in magenta
3. Release the Call button and immediately open the headset boom. The indicator light remains lit in magenta.

If the indicator light is flashing in blue or not steadily lit when opening the
headset boom, repeat steps 1 through 3

SOURCE: headset not charging

Sometimes it takes longer than two hours. Leave it plugged in overnight if you can. The indicator light should go off after fully charging.

  • If the headset is not used for a long time, it may take longer to charge the battery.
  • If the life of the built-in rechargeable battery drops to half the normal length, the battery should be replaced. Consult your nearest Sony dealer for replacement of the rechargeable battery.

The indicator (red) will go off automatically even if the computer enters into hibernation mode. Charge the headset again in this case.

Red blinking light

Hi, Ephraim. The flashing red light indicates that the device is showing "low battery". It could be that the LG phone charger fits the charging port on your bluetooth headset but it is not compatible with your device. In order for you to know that it is charging, the device should show a steady red light(means charging).
Please take a look at the table reference below.

to cancel flashing light.
9.Incoming call Triple blue flashes when ringing.

Jabra BT350 Bluetooth Headset

This is what I did:
1. open the headset by following these steps:
http://www.instructables.com/id/Jabra-BT-350-Disassembly-and-Repair/
2. measure the voltage of the battery. If it is too low, the internal charger circuit may not like it. Mine was 2.6v.
3. Charge the battery "manually" by connecting to 3 serially connected rechargeable batteries (final voltage should be around 3.7v). Three NiMH AA batteries are fine.
4. Reassemble and hope your headset is back to business.
