Question about Maytag Neptune MDG5500AW Gas Dryer
Hi, I have a maytag gas dryer it only works for about five minutes and then the flame stop working. I checked the voltage to the gas regulator solenoides and I have voltage, but the resistence for onen of them (the 2 contact one )whent up to open loop, and after 10 to 20 minutes it start to work again, this thing drives me crazy because I changed the high limit thermostat two times, and both solenoides and I relocate the vent pipe and still have the same result, any ideas? PLease help me. Thanks William.
Look for a flame detector device that is turning off the oven due to its malfunction. it should be near the flame and it may have wires or tubing.

Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.
if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....
If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.
check out this electric no heat tip...

i have a mdg5500aww, it is gas, and 6 years old, it has started to heat up the first time, and not again, unless it is off for some time. A&E, should be B&E, came out and said circuit board, $365. part only. Found one on the internet, with shipping $90.00, and it worked for about a week, then same symptoms, lights the first time, then not again. Watching it, the glow plug works the first time, but never trys a second. Any help?
