Lightening recently hit our backyard and caused several small electrical issues in our home. One of them seems to be with my son's Playstation 2. At first we thought it was totally dead but it turns out that it is just really slow. It takes a while for a game to load and the play is also very slow. It seems odd that lightening would cause this so it may just be a coincidence. Either way, does anyone know what causes Playstation 2 to slow down? I'm hoping it's a piece that we can just replace. Thanks ahead of time for any help!

Lightning can cause weird problems, All you need is "Static Discharge" every capacitor in your PS2. It's not recommended for you to do it by yourself.
So a technician help is needed.

Your TV might very easily be destroyed now, from lightening damage. Lightening can come in on the cable, on the power line, all sorts of unexpected ways. I've personally been struck by lightening, plenty hard enough to destroy almost any electronic device... and I was working in a basement at the time.
I hope it is only the fuse, but lightening can damage lots of things.
If the dehumidifier has an electronic component, like a thyristor or worse an integrated circuit, it is likely that part is damaged.
So if it has something like a wireless remote control there is damage.
It is the very fast change in electronic field caused by he lightening, what will induce a current in the electronic equipment causing the damage.
Als read ESD (ElectroStatic Discharge) and EMP. Although the change in EMP is much faster than in lightning.
THAT LIGHT MEANS U ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH YOUR THROTTLE BY WIRE SYSTEM. U REALLY NEED TO GET IT TO A MECHANIC ASAP. WOULDNT WANT A SIMILAR INCIDENT LIKE TOYOTA HAD. HOPE I HELPEDU
TV's have motherboards just like computers. Most likely a small capciter was burned out. You can get a new motherboard for $300-$500 from the manufactuer.
you have an electric problem that it can be from lightening or replace the clock. so u must be sure that gas valve working mostly it must be 24 volt . if u haven't electricity on gas valve check the high limit switch if there is a combination u must change valve
what u have to do is when u are going to take the picture click on the little lightening bolt next to the func. set button. 2 pictures will pop up- one of a lightening bolt and another with a lightening bolt with a slash through it. hit the lightening bolt button again and it will select the slashed lightening bolt picture. this will turn flash off to turn it back on go back to the screen with the 2 bolts the same way but press the button with the flower to the right of the func. set button.
