Print cartridge is stalled

Every since I had a paper jam in my all in one it keeps giving me an error code. It said there is a cartidge jam or a stalled cartridge. I have removed the paper jam, there is no visable reason for the error code. If you could help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! :) Mary

"If you are still getting error code for "paper jam", remove rear cover and locate the swich in the mid section of the roller mech. It is a little flat piece of plastic that drops in the way of the paper but is pushed away when the paer is fed through it. It might be jammed in the up position telling the i/o timer ther is a jam. With a small jewlers screwriver, push the switch lever back and forth till it is free." I wasn't able to locate the switch from the removing the rear cover. But when I opened the front of the printer, I noticed a screw missing on a flat piece of plastic. I screwed in an extra screw I found in the house, and the printer worked for a while.

4TH LIGHT FROM THE TOP KEEPS COMING ON LEXMARK E232

What this light sequence means that the printer has a paper jam.

When a paper jam occurs, the printer stops and the operator panel's Paper Jam light and Continue button lights come on. Press and release Continue twice quickly to display the specific secondary error paper jam light sequence.

How to clear Paper Jam

?· Press Continue button twice quickly to see the secondary error code.

To get the secondary error codes

?· When the Error light (!) and Continue button lights are both on, a secondary error has occurred.

?· When the Paper Jam light (4th light) and Continue button lights are both on, a paper jam secondary error has occurred.

?· Press and release Continue button twice quickly to display the secondary error code light sequence.

Press Continue button to resume printing once all the jammed pages are cleared from the paper path.

We recommend that you clear the entire paper path when a paper jam occurs.

To clear a paper jam:

1 If you are feeding paper from a tray, remove the tray, and then remove any jams.

2 Open the front cover and remove the print cartridge assembly.

NOTE: Do not leave the print cartridge assembly exposed to direct light for an Extended period of time. Extended light exposure can cause print quality problems.

3 Remove any jams in the area behind the print cartridge assembly.

4 Lift the flap at the front of the printer and remove any jams beneath the flap.

5 Open the rear exit and remove any jams.

6 After you have cleared the jams, reinstall the print cartridge assembly, make sure all printer covers and trays are closed, and then press Continue button to resume printing.

NOTE: The printer reprints the pages that caused the paper jam.

Hi, I had a paper jam and all I'm getting on screen is ( error code 5100 ). I have missplaced my manual, the machine is a pixma460 all in one. Hope you can help, thanks,

Error code 5100 means that the movement of the fine cartidge holder is blocked. To resolve this, clear the paper jam or any foreign object that is preventing the fine cartridge holder from moving, cancel printing from your computer and then turn OFF the machine and turn it back ON again

Laser printer shows light in error led ,no printing what is the reason

Error means the printer can see a paper in the paper tray side, it thinks there is a paper in the exit side, or there is paper near the toner cartidge. tr removing and reinstalling the cartridge. Look for paper, check the printer cartridge is properly installed and the paper tray is in the right place and loaded right. The owner's manual shows how to clear paper jams.
After this, you need the help of a printer repair shop.

Cannot printer... it keeps giving me out of paper error, even when there's paper in the tray.

Sir,

Try these steps it may be solve your problem...

Step 1. Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel display for the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure and check the printer manual to see if that identifies the area of the printer where the jam occurred.

Step 2. Turn off the printer.

Step 3. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.

Step 4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.

Step 5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.

Step 6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.

Step 7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper (see B). Don't force anything, though.

Step 8. Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.

Step 9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.

Thanks
Good Luck

Error light, can't find the problem

Hi, you should check the position of paper sensor flag, called "actuator" (part number 4139 3505 02). On the picture - part 15. The "paper jam" error message means also - "toner cartidge missing", "paper out" or "photoconductor missing" e8dd7eb.gif
