Re: k-jam screen problem
Here is how to hard-reset your MDA/Wizard using a key combo - courtesy of a smart T-Mobile tech support help desk guy who wrote a note about it as it's not in official help doc's:
1. Simultaneously hold down the Communication Manager and Voice Dial buttons and put the Soft Reset 'button' with the stylus tip - all at the same time.
2. You see a very scary looking black screen with white letters in System font reading something along the lines of ?Are You Sure? Press Send key to continue.?
3. When you push the 'Send' key, the Green pick-up the phone key process starts
4. Next you will see what made me smile like a kid - Formatting FAT partition and very briefly in matter of few seconds began normal first boot.

Charging port may be damaged. Take it to your cell provider or repair shop and let them look at it. Could also be the phone is damaged some how. Did you drop it or did it get wet in ANY way?
ha ha ha as you like i think you need to check battery first, if it shows in the screen that the battery still charging all they long but actually a faulty battery doesn't charge..
On the fixing roller, on his left side there must be small white/grey marking, if it isnt there the film isnt ok. E007 means that sensor canot detect that small white/grey mark. If the pressure is ok, no mater to broken handle it should work.

do you have the install disk? if so insert and start with "c" key pressed, this should boot off the disk, select language then on the next screen along the top you will see utilities, select this, and in the menu select disk utility, when it opens select the start up drive (main hard drive) and select repair disk, if this goes ok then select repair permissions, these both take a longish time. if they will not work go through the install procedure selecting the archive and install option.
The EXACT same thing happens to me if my phone ever gets wet or sweaty! Exept the screens turns grey or black. I take out the battery and let it dry for a couple hours and i'll put it back in and its fine. :] hope this helps.
when booting immediately after the first chime before the grey screen hold down keys (apple, option,p,r) allow the computer to restart if it still goes to that blank screen restart again and this time hold down only the (option) key or maybe (option,s) on that model try option key first then select the main start up disk from the menu and click the arrow underneath
