Question about Warrior 797146022002
Trying to get a Belkin three button usb mouse to work on my older ibm notebook running windows 98. Windows reports no driver installed for the mouse. I have downloaded several driver files but windows will not read them, just keeps asking for the cd installation disk which I do not have. I bought this laptop used with system installed. The three files it requests are hidclass.sys, hidparse.sys and hidusb.sys. I provided these on floppy but it says "no usable info found" or something to that nature. Am I missing a install file or something that should be on the floppy as well so windows will read those drivers ?? thankyou dm

try a new mouse or try the current mosue with another PC that will give u a fare idea of what's wrong...if the mosue is ok then it should work in another PC else, u nned to get a a new mouse...
another option is to buy a new PS2 mouse that can go into the external keyboard/mouse point behind the laptop, that way if there is an issue with ur USB port it will be known...

SOURCE: Trouble installing driver in Windows 98 without original install disks
I would look for the whole driver package from http://www.driverguide.com If you have the files downloaded why are they on the floppy? You can point the installation to any location, including the hard drive of the laptop. Driver guide does require a (free) membership to download, but it's a great site.
