I have an Epson RX500. I have the twain Drivers downloaded but can't get it to respond to the scan command on the printer itself. If I open the smart panel icon on my computer and click it, it only gives me a list of various printers/scanners to select. I select mine and click OK and it does absolutely nothing. I followed all the steps from Epson's support web site, deleting all Epson folders and redownloading and installing. I have downloaded the following drivers from Epson's site: 10973, 11284, 10908, 11390 and installed each of them, with the exception of 11284: it keeps giving me an error message stating it could not install due to a file of the Epson Smart Panel not being found. I use OS X 1.3.9 operating system, FYI. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
1. Make sure the shipping lock on the scanner is free see- set up sheet. 2. Remove all Epson software relating to this device. 3. ReBoot. 4. make sure you are off line. 5.
