Question about Garmin StreetPilot c340 GPS Receiver
I'm trying to download map and software updates and owners manual tells me to set Interface option to GARMIN or HOST, can't seem to get there.
When you go to the gar in site make sure your GPS is plug in to your comp. You will be ask to e terms the model and serial of your GPS then you will be able to see if there are any updates for the device. If there is the site will want you to download the update to your comp. Then it will tell you not to turn off your GPS most likely it does it all by it self. I have a GPS like yours I updated the map and the voice.

SOURCE: update 2009 maps into c340 how to
The Garmin Streetpilot C340 is discontinued, so there isn't much support for it. You can find some updates at
https://buy.garmin.com/shop/store/downloadsUpdates.jsp?product=010-00401-20&cID=164&pID=290
But no free map updates.

SOURCE: I used the Garmin Web Updater download to update
Have you been outside with the unit since the update? Usually when you take the unit outside and turn it on, it reads the satellites and gets it's location from those.

SOURCE: how do i change the interface option to "host" or "Garmin
I ran into the same problem. I then searched many websites and found some good info at: http://forums.gpsreview.net/viewtopic.php?t=11571. But, in the end, I simply changed USB cabels and the thing worked. So try changing your USB cable first, then go to the above website if you are still having trouble.
