I am getting a solid 1 cm thick ink trail down the center of the back side of the paper. I have tried running all of the different cleaning and servicing routines found in the menu of the printe but to no avail. What's the fix? Thank you,
This is an indicator the the waste ink collecter is full to over flowing. You can clean it our your self but a very messy job and some folk simply get the next printer However if you are willing to have a go You will either have to speak to Canon technical Support team or take a look in at www.fixyourownprinter.com

Black line down centre of back of every page
I have the same problem. Cleaning was futile, ink just keeps running out of the main cartridge
I noticed the same striping at the back of printed pages, mostly only the first one in a set. It is clearly a spill of ink on some roller head, because it faints at the end of the trail or on the next page.
Since I am not a happy bricoleur I am about calling on a Canon dealer for help, will let you know the outcome.
I have the same problem. Continue black stripe down the center and back of my printing. Have replaced the #5 cartridge and tried all the cleaning techniques but nothing is correcting it.
I have the same problem, will replacing the print head fix it? Anyone know?
