I have a Sony, corded telephone model IT-ID80 and recently (after years) I had to change the batteries for the display screen and now it shows a different date and time. I know somewhere in the house I have the user's manual but we just moved and cannot find it. Could somebody tell me how to fix this small problem. Thank you,

Press "Program" and then the "0" button on the dialer to enter the program menu. Enter the date using the following format: year, month, day and weekday (Monday equals "1," Tuesday equals "2," and so on). As an example, Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. uses the following string of numbers: 101133 1 0900 2.Press the "Store" button on the phone base. Press the "Program" button on the base. Hang up the phone receiver

I went to Google and it sent me to a site that helped me solve the problem. All I had to do was press the Program button, then the # button and then I pressed mmddhhmm (month, day, hour, minutes)then I pressed the program button again and presto!!
I have a dial tone but no buttons work when pushed.
On the screen is AREA CODE????
