A bit vague don't you think. Can you be more specific. If you are trying to remove a program from your computer go to Control Panel and uninstall in programs. I don't know which OS you have.
Is the webcam driver installed in the Device Manager under Imaging
Device? Click Start/Control Panel then look for System or System and
Performance. Open it and look for the Device Manager. It might be under
hardware depending on your operating system. Once you have the Device
Manager open look for Imaging Device. If you see it click the + sign
next to Imaging Device to expand it to see the webcam. Make sure it says
it is working properly.
If you don't see it under Imaging Device then you need to go to the manufacturers website and download the webcam drivers.
Get online
and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Acer
Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support).
Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating
system when requested. Download and install the Webcam drivers.
Maybe it is installed but you don't know how to
start the webcam. There are not buttons or switches to make it start.
It is driven by the application software program.
You have to open the webcam software to activate or start
the webcam. There is no button to push or switch to turn on. The
webcam software is somewhere in the program list. Click Start/Programs then
search for any reference to webcam or camera. Sometimes the webcam might
be inside one of the manufacturers folders in the program list so search the
folders for it. Some manufacturers have something like Entertainment
Experience that will open and show all the entertainment devices such as the
dvd drive, webcam, media player, etc. if you see it click it to launch it
then click on the webcam or camera icon.
Try using ManyCam
You
can always download Manycam and install it. Go to www.google.com and in
the search box type: "download.cnet.com" (without the quotes).
Click on the link to go to the site. When the site opens look down on the
left and you will see a gray area that says Find Software. Type
"Manycam" (without the quotes) in the white search area then hit the
search mirror. When it brings back your results look for the one that
says ManyCam Virtual Webcam. Down load it and install it. Make sure
you remove the check box on any junky programs it would like to install. You
only want to install ManyCam, no additions whatsoever during the install.
ManyCam is totally FREE and easy to use, and you will always know where your
webcam software is.
You don't need codes. I'm not sure what you are trying to do but to program the opener for a remote you need to hold the button down on the remote while you press and immediately release the smart/learn button. The smart/learn button is on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go.
If still the same, the only solution is to reinstall the operating system and reinstall again the webcam driver which might be corrupted with the windows registry file.
Don't open two programs that uses webcam, for example: if you have skype application opened with video call you can use the webcam at yahoo messenger. make show application that requires one web cam features like video calling are online opened when needed. if the is a hidden program that you sure to have close it that is still in process, then open the task manager and click on applications, you will see and end it process there, if the problem persist then restart the computer.
Go START > ALL PROGRAMS > ACER CRYSTAL EYE WEBCAM and select it. Click on ACER CRYSTAL EYE WEBCAM and that should activate the webcam. Once the webcam is active you will see an icon displayed in the TASKBAR.
Anyway, using any communication/chat/social software like Yahoo!Messenger or Skype or whatever that requires a webcam connection it will open automatically once the video conversation is on.
GOOD LUCK! ... and don't forget to RATE, please...
