Horizontal lines I have a powerpoint presentation that has full-page photos. I'm printing A4 page-layout 4 per page. Some of the photos print fine, others print with broad black and grey-white stripes (about 12 of each down the photo). I've printed this before and all has worked fine, but not this time. Any ideas?

Do a nozzle check, or printer utility check on the printer and see if this helps.

How do I view sidebar on Microsoft Powerpoint? I have a Compaq laptop and whenever I open to view a powerpoint only the full slides pop up, but I can't view the sidebar. I don't have Microsoft powerpo

If you don't have powerpoint installed, then you're probably using the free viewer, or it's a power point 'show' (the viewer is built into the presentation). You can print the slides, but not the individual notes or key pages. One thing you could try is if you have a Microsoft/Hotmail/Outlook.com account, you may be able to open it and print from there. I'm able to do it with a regular presentation, but it might be different with a show. To do this, log into Outlook.com, click the menu in the top left corner, and click Power Point Online, then just upload the file you want to open.

Are you sure your model number is not MFC-5890CN?

Check to see if you are trying print with "Page Layout: 2 in 1" and the quality is set to Super Fine or Fine. Try changing the quality setting to Normal or Fast and try again.

If you are using the 2 in 1 feature and some of the borders around the document are not printed or lines are printed that shouldn't be there; the issue can be resolved by adjusting the print margins of the document from the page setup area of PowerPoint.

There have been recent updates to printer drivers for the MFC-5890CN. Please see here to download updated drivers ad software. You may also find the FAQ's & Troubleshooting section to be of assitance.

How can i put 4 photos on A4 page-using an epson rx700

Go to your printers and faxes (xp), or Devices and printers (Win7) folder
Right click on the RX700 and choose Printer Preferences
Select A4 as the paper size
Select Page Layout tab and select Multi-Page and select 4 (default is 2)
Select 4 copies
Print away!

Alternatively, if you're using Windows, use the Office Picture manger, Picture and fax viewer of the like, and select the multi pictures setting. If you're printing one photo 4 times, remember to select 4 copies, as you're telling the app to print ONE pic in a 1/4 of the A4 page. You need 4 copies to fill the page with the same photo.

Hope this helps.

The page prints to a small version in top left hand corner. everything is set to A4. Have tried all settings Have tried paper feed from back and front. Unable to get it to print a full size A4 page even...

Make sure on the Page Setup tab that the Page Layout says 'Normal-size' and not 'Poster' (poster tries to place four documents on a single printed sheet). If this is not the problem, try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver.

Problem printing multiple pages on one sheet!

This is not the fault of the printer but the fault of word.

The way I did it successfully was as follow:
File > Page Setup > Layout = Landscape (sounds like you have already done this)

In the print dialoge, instead of OK, click Properties. On the layout tab, select landscape and below that select pages per sheet = 4 and then click ok... Then click OK to print.

Printing a booklet on WorkCentre 7345 , need help argent !!!

OK, same problem, I've gotten through the solution. I can print and have the first page and last page on one side of the large sheet and the two inside pages on the other side, so that is foldable into a booklet.
I start with a 4 page (US letter sized) document I wish to print as a booklet on tabloid paper.
In the (page layout or editing program's) print dialogue, I've said print all pages, set it at 1 page per sheet, then clicked the printer properties button to open the Xerox Workcenter 7345PS option dialogue.
In the Xerox dialog on the "Paper/Output" tab, selected the larger (Tabloid, 11x17" in my case) paper size, selected 2-Sided Print. Then I select the "Layout/Watermark" tab and clicked the Booklet Layout radio button, chose "Landscape" for the Page Layout Option. Note: I saved these settings as "Tabloid Booklet" by clicking the down-arrow to the right of "Driver Defaults" so that I could select them and not have to dial in every one of the settings whilst experimenting.

Horizontal lines

Depends on whether the "lines" are colored or just blank areas missing in the print . If it is blank areas , then most likely the laser scanner is dirty and the glass needs to be cleaned . If it is colored lines , then you most likely have a defective drum .
